Chandigarh, February 8- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday participated in a seminar on ‘Making Bharat a Global Manufacturing Hub’ organized by Bharat Global Industries Forum (BGIF) under the aegis of Swadeshi Jagran Manch on the theme 'Making India a Global Manufacturing Hub'.

Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini reaffirmed the present state government's commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment by accelerating reforms in the industrial sector. He said the state’s efforts to simplify regulations, eliminate bureaucratic hurdles and enhance the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ ecosystem. He said that by implementing a ‘Single Roof Clearance System’ offering over 150 online services, the government is ensuring swift approvals for investors. Improving efficiency and convenience for businesses and citizens remains a top priority of the present state government, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

Haryana Co-operation and Tourism Minister, Dr. Arvind Sharma, and Rajya Sabha MP, Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney also remained present on the occasion.

Present state government is committed to Industrial Growth in Haryana

The Chief Minister said the state government is committed to ensuring uninterrupted industrial growth. Reaffirming his commitment to industrial development, he said new Integrated Manufacturing Townships (IMTs) would be established in 10 districts. He further shared that the expansion of road infrastructure has significantly increased investor interest in Haryana.

Pre-Budget consultations are being held for Inclusive Growth

The Chief Minister shared that the pre-budget consultations are being held with the stakeholders from various sectors for inclusive growth. He assured that the state budget 2025-26 would focus on agriculture, industry, and other key areas. He shared that he has personally conducted meetings in different districts and has invited stakeholders to the budget session, allowing them to witness firsthand how their suggestions are prioritized in the budget.

BGIF should act as a bridge between government and entrepreneurs- Dr. Arvind Sharma

The Co-operation Minister, Dr. Arvind Sharma said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by 2047 requires BGIF to act as a bridge between the government and the industrial sector. He said that whatever Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi envisions, he ensures its execution, and Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini is advancing in the same direction.

Dr. Arvind Sharma said that infrastructure development is crucial for industrial growth, and significant progress has been made in the last 10 years. He invited entrepreneurs to explore cooperative, heritage, and tourism sectors for innovation and to contribute to Atmanirbhar Bharat by creating employment opportunities for youth.

The Minister further said that the Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini has personally interacted with the young entrepreneurs to provide them with the right direction. He assured that whenever entrepreneurs approach the Chief Minister with their concerns, they will be addressed with ease and efficiency.

Seal the medical shops selling drugs used for substance abuse- Health Minister

License to be cancelled of medical stores selling banned drugs-Health Minister

Chandigarh, February 8 - Haryana Health Minister Kumari Arti Singh Rao has directed the Food and Drug Administration Department to regularly inspect medical stores and monitor the sale of Schedule H and X drugs and take strict action against those selling banned drugs. She emphasised immediate sealing and cancellation of license of medical shops found selling banned drugs.

While reviewing the "Nasha Mukti" programme in Haryana, the Minister directed the officers to make free addiction treatment simplified and easily accessible at government de-addiction centers. Keep the identities of patients confidential during treatment. To protect young students from drug addiction, she urged schools and colleges to raise awareness about the dangers of drug addiction. Besides this, she encouraged parents to monitor their children's habits closely.

Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal stated that the Haryana government is committed to making the state drug-free for which collective efforts and participation of society and police is essential. Last year, licenses of 33 de-addiction centers were revoked due to violations of regulations. 17 new de-addiction centers are being established under a scheme sponsored by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.

He further said that the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau has registered 4,505 FIRs against drug addicts and 7,523 individuals were identified as involved in drug addiction. The list of these individuals has been shared with respective district authorities to facilitate their treatment and rehabilitation, he added. .

Director of Health Services, Dr. Brahmadeep shared that during the 2024-25 financial year, 34,684 patients with minor addictions were treated in OPDs, while 2,651 patients with severe addictions were admitted for treatment. The highest number of addiction cases were found in Sirsa district. He directed all districts to ensure the availability of qualified and necessary staff at de-addiction centers.

During the review meeting with all the district nodal officers, standard treatment guidelines were discussed regarding the standard operating procedure for de-addiction centers providing de-addiction treatment services to persons suffering from substance abuse. To quickly detect drug abuse, all district civil hospitals should use urine drug test kits, which are already available in all district civil hospitals. These kits can rapidly identify various substances, including opioids, cocaine, cannabis, benzodiazepines, amphetamines, and barbiturates, in urine samples.

Chandigarh, February 8 – The 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2025, organized by the Haryana Tourism Department from February 7 to February 23, is showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Haryana through the ‘Apna Ghar’ Pavilion, set up by Virasat – The Heritage Village, Kurukshetra. This exhibition not only displays traditional folk artifacts but also features century-old objects that once played a vital role in Haryanvi life, attracting a large number of tourists.

Dr. Maha Singh Poonia, coordinator of Virasat – The Heritage Village, shared that the Bailgadi (bullock cart) has been an integral part of Haryana’s rural life, serving as an essential mode of transportation for centuries. In Haryana, the Baildi was once considered a common man’s special ride. Besides this, in earlier times, people would often travel to fairs in these carts, making them a significant part of Haryanvi folklore, folk songs, and raginis.

‘Apna Ghar’ Pavilion Showcases Haryana’s Rich Heritage

Dr. Maha Singh Poonia further shared that the ‘Apna Ghar’ exhibition at the Haryana Pavilion offers visitors a glimpse into traditional Haryanvi culture, featuring a village chaupal, ancient farming tools, 300-year-old locks, and a traditional oil storage vessel (Koopa). These rare artifacts have become a major attraction for visitors. He said that Virasat – The Heritage Village aims to educate the younger generation about their rich cultural heritage so they can take pride in their ancestors' traditions and history.

Rail connectivity in Mewat will improve mobility – CM

All India Mewati Panchayat expresses gratitude to CM for approving the railway project in Mewat

Chandigarh, February 8 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that after 2014, the double-engine government of the Center and Haryana, working under the able leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, has been ensuring holistic development without any discrimination. Inspired by Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati, the government has been implementing several development projects in Mewat.

He said that to directly connect Mewat with Delhi and Alwar via rail, a railway project will be executed in the region, for which budgetary provisions have been made. The construction of the railway line will not only facilitate smooth transportation for the people of Mewat but will also open new avenues for employment opportunities for the youth, said the Chief Minister while addressing representatives of the All India Mewati Panchayat at his residence, Sant Kabir Kutir on saturday.

The representatives expressed their gratitude by honouring Sh. Nayab Singh Saini with a traditional turban for approving the railway project in Mewat.

The Chief Minister said that under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), 115 backward districts across the country have been identified, with Nuh being the first to be designated as an aspirational district by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister himself will oversee and monitor initiatives related to health, nutrition, education, agriculture, and skill development in this district, shared Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

Investment & Industrial Development in Mewat

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that an LTL battery industry will be established on 178 acres of land in Mewat, attracting an investment of Rs.7,197 crore and government has decided to establish an Integrated Manufacturing Township (IMT) in Mewat, which will further promote industries and create new employment opportunities. The pro-investment policies of the present state government have increased investor interest in Mewat, leading to the establishment of new industries in the region, said the Chief Minister.

He said that under the SVAMITVA Yojana, Mewat has been declared Lal Dora-free, with 1,25,158 properties identified across 396 villages, and 99 percent of beneficiaries have received ownership rights. This has enabled the residents to avail benefits from various government welfare schemes, said the Chief Minister.

Infrastructure and Water Supply to be strengthened

The Chief Minister said that to enhance drinking water supply in Mewat, new equipment worth Rs.50 crore has been installed. Besides this, rainywells costing Rs. 9.42 crore have been constructed in Jamalgarh and Sunhera village to address water supply issues for local residents.

We are committed to provide quality education and take skill development initiatives

The Chief Minister said that the present state government is committed to improving education in Mewat. A Government Girls' College has been constructed in Punhana, ensuring access to higher education for girls closer to their homes. Furthermore, girls enrolled in Nuh’s government ITI receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 1,000 from the Mewat Development Agency to encourage technical education and skill development, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

Healthcare facilities to be upgraded

The Chief Minister shared that to provide quality healthcare services, a Rs. 36 crore project has been implemented at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Medical College, including the construction of four operation theaters, an auditorium, two hostels, and boundary walls. Besides this, a health training center has been established in Nagina, while Tauru's PHC has been upgraded to CHC status. An ANM College has also been established in Punhana, with 50 percent of its seats reserved for girls from the Mewat region, shared Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

Meanwhile, reiterating the vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that 25,000 youth have been provided jobs on merit basis, including a significant number from Mewat. The programme was organized by the President of All India Mewati Panchayat and former MLA Zakir Hussain.

He recalled that in 2020, Kejriwal himself had declared that if he failed to clean the Yamuna, the people of Delhi should not vote for him and today, the people of Delhi have upheld their promise.

Narendra Modi’s policies and have given a clear mandate against Arvind Kejriwal’s politics of fear and confusion. He congratulated Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi on the formation of a BJP government in Delhi after 27 years.

Interacting with the media persons in Gohana on Saturday, the Minister said that Arvind Kejriwal deliberately stalled Delhi’s development for 11 years just to ensure that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi does not get credit for it. By fighting the elections using every possible tactic—persuasion, money, force, and deception—Kejriwal tried to damage the brotherhood between Delhi and Haryana. However, the people of Delhi understood his tricks and gave a strong response, said Dr. Arvind Sharma.

The Minister said that the people of Delhi realized how Kejriwal had blocked the benefits of Center's welfare schemes from reaching lakhs of families. This made it clear that Kejriwal had no interest in Delhi’s development or the welfare of the common people, he said.

Dr. Arvind Sharma further said that with a double-engine government in place, Delhi’s development will accelerate, and the common man will fully benefit from both the central and state government’s policies.

The Minister criticized Arvind Kejriwal and AAP leaders for misleading the public with various propaganda tactics during the elections. However, this time, the people of Delhi did not fall for their false promises. Instead, they have placed their trust in the BJP, he said.
