One arrested under Arms/Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Suresh @ Nabru R/o # 73/C, Phase-3, BDC Sector 26 Chandigarh from near BDC Light point Sector 26 Chandigarh and recovered one kamanidar knife from his possession. A Case FIR No 32 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 26 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One arrested in snatching case

A Case FIR No 30 U/S 134, 303(2), 307, 3(5) BNS & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 17 Chandigarh on the complaint of one lady against riders of splendor motorcycle no–PB-12A-9831 namely Harpreet Singh R/o # Village Bhairon Majra District Ropar Punjab and Kala R/o # Chuharmajra Punjab. Both snatched a golden chain from the complainant on knife point from near Kiran Cinema, Light Point, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 09.03.2025. Later on, Harpreet Singh R/o # Village Bhairon Majra District Ropar Punjab (age-28 yrs) was arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A Case FIR No 20 U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-19 Chandigarh on the complaint of Anil Kumar R/o # 2103/1 Sector 19 Chandigarh against an unknown person who stole a bicycle from Classic Bakery Sector 19 Chandigarh on 09.03.2025. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Accident

A Case FIR No 25 U/S 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered in Police Station Industrial Area Chandigarh on the complaint of Satnam Singh R/o # Village Bhupal Kalan, District Mansa Punjab against driver of crain no HR-03X-9646 namely Kanhaiya R/o # 603, Village Dariya Chandigarh which hit to complainant on slip road on Tribune Chowk on 04.03.2025.Victim sustained injuries got admitted to hospital. Later on the accused arrested and bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 53 U/S 281, 125(A), 106(1) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh on the complaint of Mohd. Rashid R/o # 2250/2 Sector 52 Chandigarh against driver of swift dzire car no PB-01F-2674 namely Jasanpreet Sharma R/o # Surgan Basti, Ward no 06 Dirba, District Sangrur, Punjab which hit to a motorcycle no CH-01 AG- 9085 near D Park Sector 52 Chandigarh on 9.3.2025. Victim MD Mejimil R/o # Ward no 07 Pasdaha, Bhangahi, District Araria, Bihar (age- 19 years) sustained injuries admitted to GMCH-32 Chandigarh and expired during treatment. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Snatching

A Case FIR No 38 U/S 304, 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 34 Chandigarh on the complaint of one lady R/o # Sector 34/C Chandigarh against unknown motorcyclist who snatched away complainant bag containing mobile phone, documents, Bank ATM Card and Cash Rs. 1000/-. Investigation of this case is in progress.
