Chandigarh, 26 November: On the occasion of Constitution Day, a solemn ceremony was held today at Punjab Raj Bhavan. During the event, the Principal Secretary to the Governor of Punjab, Sh. Vivek Pratap Singh, administered the Constitutional Oath to all officers and staff of Punjab Raj Bhavan.
Sharing his message on this occasion, The Governor of Punjab, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, said that Constitution Day is an opportunity to pay tribute to the architects of our Constitution. Their visionary guidance continues to inspire us in our collective resolve to build a “Developed India.”
He added that our Constitution places the highest value on human dignity, equality, and liberty. It grants us fundamental rights and simultaneously reminds us of our duties that form the foundation of a strong democracy.
The ceremony began with a tribute to the framers of the Constitution and a collective expression of respect for the spirit of the Constitution. All officers and staff present on the occasion reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the core principles of Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity enshrined in the Preamble.
The event at Punjab Raj Bhavan served as a reminder of the significance of Constitution Day and offered every government functionary an opportunity to renew their dedication to the democratic values of India.
