CHANDIGARH, 12.12.25-The Rock Garden is the world recognised tourist spot in Chandigarh. It was created by Padma Shri Late Nek Chand. The birth anniversary of Padma Shri Late Nek Chand is celebrated on 15th December every year and 101st Birth Anniversary is going to be celebrated this year by the Rock Garden Society, Chandigarh. In order to commemorate the 101st Birth Anniversary of Padma Shri Late Nek Chand, Creator & Director of Rock Garden, celebration shall be started at the Nek Chand Memorial in Rock Garden on 13th December, 2025 (Saturday) in the presence of the committee members and will continue till 15th December, 2025 (Monday).

The celebration will start with the lighting of Diyas and the floral tributes paid at the wax statue of Padma Shri Late Nek Chand by the Chief Guest Shri C.B.Ojha, Chief Engineer, Chandigarh Administration and other guests.

The program shall be followed by the various musical performances, musical chairs program for general public and other performers such as Bazigar, Nachar, Been-Jogi, Behrupia, Nagada, Puppet Show, Stick Walker etc from various parts of the country during the ceremony to promote the regional culture and the celebration will continue till 15th December, 2025 (Monday) at Phase-III in Rock Garden, Chandigarh.

The various musical performances will be organised by the Tourism Department, Chandigarh Administration for general public at Phase-III in Rock Garden on 13th & 14th December, 2025.

The event shall be concluded by the cultural performance by Shri Feroz Khan (Punjabi Folk Artist) on 15th December, 2025 (Monday) in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) and the prize distribution function will be presided over by the Chief Guest Worthy Home Secretary-cum-Chairman, Rock Garden Society.

The programmes shall be organized by the Rock Garden Society in coordination with Chandigarh Tourism Department and North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC).
