Chandigarh, 15 March: The NSS Units of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with the Department of Public Dentistry, Panjab University, organised a dental awareness and check-up camp at Badheri village. The dental team led by Dr. Vivek Vidhu conducted the camp. The initiative aimed to address the growing concern regarding the lack of awareness about oral health in the community.

Nearly 100 residents visited the camp for dental consultation and check-ups. Children particularly were educated about common dental problems such as cavities, along with demonstrations on the correct technique of brushing. Among adults, the doctors observed that dental issues are often neglected until they become critical. The team also provided valuable guidance on preventive care and emphasised the importance of timely treatment to maintain good oral hygiene. The camp played a significant role in spreading awareness about dental hygiene and motivating the community to adopt healthier oral care practices.

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma appreciated the initiative and commended the NSS units for their efforts in promoting community health. She encouraged students to continue participating actively in such outreach programmes that contribute meaningfully to social welfare and public awareness
