Chandigarh: 15 March, 2026-A press delegation from Bihar met the Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh Shri Gulab Chand Kataria at Punjab Lok Bhavan, Chandigarh, as part of the Press Information Bureau's (PIB) Media Outreach Programme. The initiative of the Government of India aims to provide journalists firsthand exposure to development initiatives, Central schemes and governance practices across different regions.

During an interactive session, the Governor sought feedback from the visiting journalists about their experiences in Punjab and Chandigarh during their touring period. The delegation shared their impressions after visiting important heritage sites in Punjab, including Jallianwala Bagh, Attari Border and the Golden Temple, and appreciated the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the state.

In Chandigarh, the journalists visited key public infrastructure and development projects such as the Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science & Technology Promotion Society, PM's e-Bus Sewa of CTU, Government Multi-Speciality Hospital, Sector-16, Sukhna Lake, Rock Garden, Air Force Museum, Sector-18 and other prominent locations. The Governor encouraged the delegation to give constructive suggestions on strengthening development initiatives in Chandigarh.

The visiting journalists expressed their satisfaction over the development efforts here and appreciated the opportunity for meaningful interaction and exchange of views.
