Chandigarh, April 1:- Sh. Sanjay Arora has formally assumed charge as Chief Engineer of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and began his tenure with immediate on-ground action.

Soon after joining, he conducted a comprehensive visit to the Daddumajra dumping ground and the waste processing plant, accompanied by concerned officials. Taking stock of the existing conditions, he closely reviewed the status of legacy waste and the ongoing processing mechanisms.

Expressing serious concern over the pace of waste disposal, the Chief Engineer issued clear directions to accelerate operations.

He emphasized the need for adopting a fast-track approach to ensure timely processing and scientific disposal of accumulated waste.

The chief engineer categorically instructed that pending waste must be cleared at the earliest, with strict adherence to proper waste management protocols. He underlined that efficiency, accountability, and result-oriented action must be the priority.

Calling for seamless coordination among all departments, he directed officials to ensure visible and measurable improvements in cleanliness and waste handling in the coming days.
