Chandigarh, August 5: Under the "Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan" being conducted by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Chandigarh Pradesh, the sacred Kalash containing holy soil brought from the birthplace of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj in Varanasi will now be taken to all six districts of Chandigarh with devotion, reverence and the message of social harmony. The campaign aims to spread Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj's ideals of equality, social justice, humanity and an inclusive society among all sections of the community.
Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh Pradesh General Secretary Ramveer Bhatti informed that on August 6 at 3:00 PM, the sacred soil Kalash, presently placed at Mata Chintpurni Temple, Sector 32, will be ceremonially handed over to office-bearers of all six BJP district units. On this occasion, the sacred Kalash will be presented to the district office-bearers in the presence of MLA Gajendra Singh Yadav. Thereafter, each district will organise grand Kalash Yatras across its respective areas and Mandals with great devotion and enthusiasm.
Ramveer Bhatti further stated that the sacred Kalash will receive a reverential welcome in every district and Mandal. The Kalash Yatras will witness the participation of party office-bearers, workers, members of the Sant community, representatives of social and religious organisations, and a large number of devotees. Through these yatras, the message of social harmony, equality, brotherhood and humanity propagated by Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj will be carried to every section of society.
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party's objective is not only to honour religious faith but also to take Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj's teachings of social harmony, equal rights, selfless service and human welfare to every citizen. Through this campaign, the party is continuously working to strengthen social cohesion, national unity and the spirit of an inclusive society.
