One arrested under NDPS Act
A case FIR No. 144 dated 30.08.2026 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered under the NDPS Act on the complaint of SI Karan Singh No. 1565/CHG, against Sahil S/o Sanjeev Kumar, R/o Village Sandhay, District Yamunanagar (HR), aged 19 years. The accused was apprehended near the Bus Stop, Sector-39, Chandigarh, on 30.08.2026 at about 7:45 PM, and 202 grams of heroin were recovered from his possession. The accused is presently in police lock-up.
Two arrested under Arms Act
Distt. Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Satyam @ Jatin S/o Kallu, R/o H. No. 559, Sector-38(W), Chandigarh, aged 19 yearsfrom the road in front of Sports Complex, Sector-38(W), Chandigarh, on 30.08.2026 at about 04:30 AM, and one desi katta was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 105 dated 30.08.2026 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered under the Arms Act PS-Maloya Chandigarh.The accused has been sent to judicial custody.Investigation of the case is in progress
A case FIR No. 81 dated 30.08.2026 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station IT Park, Chandigarh against Rohit @ Gadru S/o Inder, R/o H. No. 1439, Indira Colony, Mani Majra, aged 26 years. The accused was arrested from the parking area near Railway Phatak, Indira Colony, Mani Majra, on 30.08.2026, and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused is presently in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Assault
A case FIR No. 124 dated 30.08.2026 u/s 118(1) BNS has been registered at Police Station Manimajra, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Sagar S/o Vijay Kumar, R/o H. No. 170, Village Pabhath, Mohali, Punjab, against Sajandeep Singh. The accused allegedly attacked the complainant at MakhanMajra, Chandigarh, on 27.08.2026 at about 8:30 AM, due to which the victim sustained injuries and was admitted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
A case FIR No. 43 dated 30.08.2026 u/s 305 & 331(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station-19, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Bishan Kaur, R/o H. No. 613, Sector-18-B, Chandigarh, against an unknown person. The accused allegedly stole one music system, PlayStation, bicycle, inverter battery, LEGO pieces, GoPro, gold chain and documents from the complainant's house during the period between 18.08.2026 and 29.08.2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Wrongful Restraint/Threat
A case FIR No. 146 dated 30.08.2026 u/s 126(2) & 351 BNS has been registered at Police Station-36, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Ayman AyushAngrish S/o Sh. Narinder Kumar Banka, R/o Chandigarh, against Bhagyesh Garg S/o Sanjeev Garg, R/o H. No. 110, Monarch Apartment, Zirakpur, Mohali, Punjab. The accused allegedly wrongfully restrained the complainant and threatened to kill him. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 143 dated 30.08.2026 u/s 351(4) & 354 BNS has been registered at Police Station-39, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Dr. Sanjeev Goyal, R/o H. No. 1410, Sector-40-B, Chandigarh, against an unknown person. The accused allegedly threw a mysterious packet at the complainant's house, due to which the complainant was put under anxiety. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Murder
A case FIR No. 73 dated 30.08.2026 u/s 190, 191(2), 191(3), 109 & 103(1) BNS has been registered at Police Station I/Area, on the complaint of Suraj R/o H. No. 148, New Indira Colony, Chandigarh, against Monu @ Kandu, Subhash, Suraj @ Jatwa, Govinda, Mahavir and Malkit @ Kaka. The accused persons allegedly hit the complainant's Scorpio car No. CH-01CD-2228 with a black-coloured Thar, bearing registration No. HR-70F-0843, near VTC Yard, Daria, on 30.08.2026, with the intention to kill the complainant and his brother. The complainant and his brother Pawan, aged 27 years, sustained injuries and were admitted to GMSH-16. Pawan was declared brought dead by the duty doctor, while Suraj was referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
