Bahgwat Dayal 1365/CHG, against Manish Kumar R/o # 08, Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh, who was apprehended from Sector-29 CD Turn on 16-09-2026 and 9 grams heroin was recovered from his possession. Accused in police lock-up.

A case FIR No. 86 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area on the complaint/report of SI Satish Kumar 1514/CHG, against Mohit R/o # 73/C, Vill. Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh, who was apprehended near Shamshan Ghat, Vill. Daria, Chandigarh, on 16-09-2026 and 7.5 grams heroin was recovered from his possession. Accused in police lock-up.

A case FIR No. 87 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area on the complaint/report of ASI Mohd. Aslam 2063/CHG, against Brijesh Yadav S/o Raghunath, R/o #119/C, Deshmesh Nagar, Zirakpur, who was apprehended near Demolition Waste Processing Plant, Phase-I, Chandigarh, on 17-09-2026 and 6 grams heroin was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 93 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station ManiMajra on the complaint/report of SI Rajesh Kumar 1631/CHG, against Balraj R/o H. No. 154, near Shiv Mandir, Bhainsa Tibba, MDC, Panchkula, who was apprehended near Gate No. 3 MHC, Govindpura, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, on 17-09-2026 while consuming a suspected narcotic substance using aluminium foil paper, ₹10 currency note and lighter were recovered. Tirath 1401/CHG, against Sharad R/o #1920, Khadak Mangoli, Gate No. 3, Purana Panchkula, Haryana, who was apprehended from FR Parking, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, on 17-09-2026 while consuming a suspected narcotic substance using aluminium foil paper, ₹10 currency note and lighter were recovered. Mahindra Forest Area, IT Park, Chandigarh, on 16-09-2026 at about 10:00 PM while consuming a suspected narcotic substance using Aluminium foil paper, ₹10 currency note and lighter were recovered. A case FIR No. 49 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 49 on the complaint/report of L/ASI Partibha 1916/CHG, against Navneet S/o Late Sh. Shusheel, R/o Jhampur, Gugga Madi, SAS Nagar, Punjab, who was apprehended from Naka, Sector-51/A & B Turn, Chandigarh, on 16-09-2026 at about 10:20 PM and 7.97 grams heroin was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 157 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 36 on the complaint/report of ASI Het Ram 2135/CHG, against Amit R/o # 532, Vill. Kajheri, Chandigarh, who was apprehended from D-Park, Sector-52, Chandigarh, on 17-09-2026 while consuming a suspected narcotic substance using aluminium foil paper. ₹10 currency note and lighter were recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 120 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya on the complaint/report of ASI Abhishek 1922/CHG, against Ranjeet Kumar R/o # 2627, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh, who was apprehended opposite Satsang Bhawan, Kacha Rasta, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh, on 17-09-2026 and 7.32 grams heroin was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 122 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya on the complaint/report of ASI Rohan Kumar 1924/CHG, against Akash R/o # 2152/3, Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh, who was apprehended near RC-1 School, Maloya, Chandigarh, on 17-09-2026 while smoking drugs using an injection. One injection, a strip of medicine and lighter were recovered from his possession. Accused bailed out later on. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Two arrested in Snatching

A case FIR No. 128 u/s 304(2), 3(5) BNS, added 317(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station 17 on the complaint of a lady, R/o Sector-22/D, Chandigarh, against two boys on a motorcycle who snatched her mobile phone near Gurudwara, Sector-22, Chandigarh, on 17-09-2026 at about 12:30 PM. Later, accused persons Manjot Singh S/o Jagtar Singh and Lovepreet Singh S/o Satnam Singh, both residents of Vill. Pannuann, SAS Nagar, Punjab, was arrested and is in police lock-up. One arrested under ARMS ACT

Acase FIR No. 116 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station 11 on the complaint/report of ASI Saleem 1394/CP, against Sanjeev Kumar R/o # 380, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, who was apprehended from Kachi Parking, PGI, Chandigarh, on 17-09-2026 and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 117 u/s 115(2), 127(2), 140(3), 351(3), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station 26 on the complaint of Harpreet Singh R/o #970, Shivalik Vihar, Kharar, Mohali, against Vijay Kant, Manager of Hard Rock Cafe, Sector-26, Chandigarh, and 10/12 others, who allegedly threatened, beat and forcibly took the complainant to a place in Zirakpur on 26-08-2026. Gauri Shankar, R/o #607, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, against the unknown driver of bike No. CH-01DD-5773, who sped away after hitting pedestrian Naresh Rawat S/o Amar Singh, R/o # 862, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, near Elante Mall Gate No. 02, PH-1 Industrial Area, Chandigarh, on 16-09-2026. Theft case

A case FIR No. 129 u/s 305(A), 331(4) BNS has been registered at Police Station 17 on the complaint of Hari Krishan Mahajan R/o #C-58, Sawraj Nagar, Kharar, SAS Nagar, Mohali, against an unknown person who stole away articles scattered and cash amounting to ₹42,500/- from Booth No. 11, Sector-23/C, Chandigarh, during the intervening night of 16/17-09-2026. Cyber Crime Cheating

A case FIR No. 154 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Cyber Crime on the complaint of Jaspal Singh S/o Sh. Gian Singh, R/o # 515 FF, Sector-41/A, Chandigarh, against an unknown person who cheated the complainant of ₹ 2,74,300/- in connection with an unauthorized transaction.
