Chandigarh, September 18: The Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC), Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has accorded approval to various developmental agenda items amounting to Rs. 6.20 crores.
The meeting was held here today under the chairmanship of City Mayor Sh. Saurabh Joshi, Mayor and attended by MCC Commissioner, Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS and other committee members namely Sh. Harjeet Singh, Sh. Jasbeer Singh Bunty, Sh. Rajinder Kumar Sharma and Sh. Yogesh Dhingra, Sh. Harpreet Singh Sudan, IAS, Special Commissioner and other senior officers of the Municipal Corporation.

The Committee considered and approved various proposals aimed at improving civic infrastructure, water supply, sanitation, roads, parks, public facilities and other essential amenities across Chandigarh.
The major works and proposals considered/approved by the Committee include:

* Special repair of approach road to the Cattle pond near MRF Centre, Industrial Area Ph-I by providing and fixing 80mm thick interlocking paver blocks at an estimated cost of Rs. 7.84 lakh
• Purchase of 06 petrol-engine hedge trimmer machines for maintenance of hedges and shrubs in gardens, green belts and parks in the city, at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.89 lakh.
• Construction of walking tracks in various Parks of Sector 34, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 32.04 lakh.
• Up-Gradation of Scooter market Sector 40-C, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 15.49 lakh.
• The Work of Raising of 1656 House Water Meter Chambers Chandigarh Housing Board EWS 4-Storey small flats from House No. 6201 to 6464 and 501 to 6652 (31 Nos. Blocks) in Sector 56, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 36.56 Lakh.
• Repair and renovation of filtration plant 45MGD, 25 MGD and backwash well by oil bound, Apex, regarding etc. at water works sector 39, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 47.82 lakh.
• Augmentation and strengthening of water supply distribution network alongwith other allied works at Ramdarbar Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 13.30 lakh.
• Providing and laying of 4” D.I. water supply pipe line from Tubewell booster RN-115 to Gas Agency Sector 25, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 13.03 lakh.
• Extension of lease period of night Shelter/Raen Basera building situated at pocket no. 2 & 3, Manimajra, Chandigarh leased to the Sadhna Society for Mentally Retarded children for the purpose of running school of mentally retarded children for the further period of three years i.e. 25.01.2025 to 24.01.2028.
• Providing and fixing of new huts and PCC benches in various parks and green belts of Sector 52, 61 and Kajheri, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 7.18 lakh.
• Providing and planting of ornamental plants and shrubs in various green belts/parks of sector 42, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 8.80 lakh.
• Special repair and paint work of toe wall, M.S. Flat Railing and Gate in various parks of Indira Colony Manimajra and Sector 32, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 17.06 lakh.
• Inclusion of Entertainment expenses for the post of Special Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
• Construction of pedestrian path along V-5 road berm, Sector 63, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 23.90 lakh.
• Procurement of 02 Nos. electric staff cars for senior officials of the MC Chandigarh against the condemned/auction staff cars at an estimated cost of Rs. 48.00 lakh
• Re-construction of T/well chamber, boundary wall at t/well booster RN-112 alongwith Construction of Toilet block at t/well booster CRPF Ramdarbar, Ph-I, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 39.19 lakh.
• Providing and laying of sewer line storm water drainage and water supply in Janta colony near Indira Colony, Ward No. 4, Sector 13, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 10.52 lakh.
• Providing and laying of 4” i/d and 6” I/D water supply pipeline in lieu of ols existing brittle/damaged/encroached water supply pipelines to avoid contamination of water supply and to mitigate low pressure complaints in Cheap House Sector 19-C, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 19.33 lakh.
• Providing and fixing missing stainless steel house indicator boards in Sector 36, 42, 52 and village Attawa, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.47 lakh.
• Special repair of Community Centre Sector 38, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 9.69 lakh.
• Providing and fixing of Circular Shape Hut with pipe benches in Fragrance Garden, Sector 36, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.29 lakh.
• Providing and fixing of pipe benches in Market area adjoining V-4 road of Sector 40 form 39/40 light point to 40/41 light point, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.80 lakh.
• Construction of walking tracks in parks near House no. 2636 and 2509 in Sector 47-C, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 20.01 lakh.
• Construction of walking tracks in park back side petrol pump, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 9.54 lakh.
• Renovation of 01 no. public toilet blocks near booth no. 67, meat market, Sector 31, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 21.43 lakh.
• Inclusion of reimbursement expenses for the post of Special Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh.
• Construction of Sanitation booth for Safai Karamcharies in SSK Sector 47, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 32.45 lakh.
• Providing and laying of 4” i/d DI water supply pipeline (K-7 class) in lieu of damaged/brittle/rusted old existing CI water supply pipeline to mitigate low pressure/contamination of water supply in lane No. 2725 to 2768, Sector 22-C, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 13.69 lakh.
• Repair and re-construction of damaged internal street at Ramdarbar Phase-I & II, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 35.41 lakh.
• Repair of existing pedestrian path along V-4 road Sector 49, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 26.83 lakh.
• Up-gradation of Peripherial flooring of Sadar Bazar, Market, Sector 19-C, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 44.52 lalk.
• Construction of Kitchen & toilet and renovation of anganwadi in village Behlana, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 8.76 lakh.
• Construction of New Public Toilet at Indira Colony Green Belt, Manimajra, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 12.72 lakh.
• Repair and paint work of toe wall, MS flat railing and gate in Green belt and various parks of Sector 2, 9 & 10, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 23.57 lakh.
• Providing and fixing of Overhead Height Restriction Barriers at various location in Dadumajra Colony, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.67 lakh.
• Special repair, painting and renovation of Sampark Centre at village Kaimbwala, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.57 lakh.
