Three persons arrested under NDPS Act

A Case FIR No. 89 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area on the complaint/report of Sub. Insp. Satish Kumar 1514/CHG, against Amit R/o # 261 Gali No 04 Village Daria Chandigarh, who was apprehended from Tata steel yard Village daria Chandigarh on 19-09-2026 while consuming intoxicant using foil paper and 10/- Rupee note along with lighter recovered from his possession. Later on the accused bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 148 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran Chandigarh on the complaint/report of Insp. Jaipal Singh 1486/CHG, against Eid Mohammad R/o # 45/2, Bhatta Colony Vikash nagar Mauli Jagran Chandigarh who was apprehended near Kala gram ground, Chandigarh, on 20-09-2026 while consuming a suspected narcotic substance using aluminium foil paper, ₹10 currency note and lighter were recovered from his possession. Accused bailed out later on. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 149 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran Chandigarh on the complaint/report of Asi Ramesh Kumar, against Deepak R/o # 71/1 Village Mauli Jagran Chandigarh who was apprehended near Petrol pump Vikash nagar Mauli Jagran Chandigarh, on 20-09-2026 while consuming a suspected narcotic substance using aluminium foil paper, ₹10 currency note and lighter were recovered from his possession. Accused bailed out later on. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One arrested under ARMS ACT

A Case FIR No. 167 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station 31 on the complaint/report of HC Anoop Kuamr 2288/CP, against Rajesh R/o # 2110 phase-2 Ramdarbar Chandigarh, who was apprehended from HP gas godam, Hallomajra Chandigarh, on 19-09-2026 and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One arrested consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Ajit Kumar R/o # Jhuggi no 117 NIC Manimajra Chandigarh from near Kishangarh Chowk Chandigarh on 20.08.2026 while consuming liquor at public place and creating nuisance. A Case FIR No 95 U/S 68-1(B) PP ACT & 355 BNS has been registered in Police Station IT Park Chandigarh. Later on the accused bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.
