MAHENDERGARH, 22.09.26-The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Central University of Haryana (CUH), in collaboration with AeroDrone Robotics Pvt. Ltd., inaugurated a five-day training workshop on “Drone Building, Programming & Emerging Technologies.” The workshop is being held from September 21 to 25, 2026, with the participation of more than 60 students.

The workshop aims to provide students with practical exposure to drone technology, including drone building, programming and emerging technological applications. Emphasis is being laid on hands-on learning and developing industry-relevant skills.

Addressing the inaugural session, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor, CUH, said that the participating students are dedicated, enthusiastic and disciplined. He expressed confidence that the workshop would encourage students not only to learn emerging technologies but also to develop innovative ideas and practical solutions to real-life problems through drone and robotics technologies.

Experts from AeroDrone Robotics Pvt. Ltd., including Capt. Sunil D. Dogra, VSM, Col. A. H. Khan, Gp. Capt. Bibhuti Prakash and Mr. Satdev Yadav, are participating in the workshop. Their expertise is providing students with exposure to the technical, practical and mission-oriented applications of drones and robotics.

The workshop, themed “Build, Code, Fly,” focuses on fostering innovation, problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking among students. Drone and robotics technologies have growing applications in areas such as agriculture, disaster management, defence, surveillance, logistics, surveying and smart infrastructure.

Dr. Vipin Kumar, Chairman; Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Co-Chair; and Dr. Anant R. Bara, Convener, along with other faculty members and members of the organizing committee, played an important role in organizing the workshop.
