इस मौक़े पर पीजीआई चंडीगढ़ के फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट , नव्यभारत फ़ाउंडेशन के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष डॉ० अनिरुद्ध उनियाल जी ने बताया यह राष्ट्रव्यापी अभियान मिशन हरित भारत के अंतर्गत पूरे देश में कारगिल वीरों की वीरता को नमन है , साथ ही पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति संकल्पित हैं।

*जिला विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण सोलन एवं वन विभाग के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में आज सोलन जिला की ग्राम पंचायत सेरी के गांव कालाघाट (शिल्ली) में पौधरोपण अभियान एवं जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। जागरूकता कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता जिला एवं सत्र न्यायाधीश सोलन अरविंद मल्होत्रा ने की।

*इनर व्हील क्लब मोहाली सिंफनी ने ग्रीन मैराथन का आयोजन किया। इस मैराथन का उद्देश्य छात्रों को पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक करना था।

*इस दौरान देश भगत रेडियो के आरजे संघमित्रा, प्रतीक और मीनल ने पर्यावरणीय चुनौतियों और संबंधित मुद्दों की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया और प्लैनेट बनाम प्लास्टिक, जलवायु परिवर्तन, जैव विविधता की हानि, प्रदूषण, जंगलों जैसी महत्वपूर्ण चिंताओं के बारे में संबोधित किया। वृक्षोँ की कटाई और महत्व के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाई। एक स्थायी जीवन शैली अपनाने की सलाह दी।

*इनर व्हील पंचकूला सेंट्रल की प्रेसिडेंट बेनू राव ने कहा कि बाजार में शॉपिंग करते कपड़े या जूूट के थैलों का इस्तेमाल करें।

* Mr. Navneet Kumar, IFS, appreciating the initiative said that in the last one week they had organized such visits for different Government & Private Schools of the city and over 300 young children were sensitized through this programme about the important role Birds play, as birds provide critical links within the vast food chains and webs that exist in our ecosystem.

*Today, a week-long migratory bird watching excursion and cleanliness drive for School students was inaugurated by Shri TC Nautiyal, IFS, Director, Department of Environment & Chief Conservator of Forests, Chandigarh Administration.

*Shri. Anup Gupta, Mayor of Chandigarh was the main speaker at the valedictory function. In his address he said that the issues that the event raised were very timely. He assured teachers of his support in any action they suggest to improve water and solid waste management.

*Department of Environment Studies in collaboration with Dharini “Environment Awareness Society” of the Post Graduate Government College, Sector-46, Chandigarh, organized a Green Diwali Campaign in the college campus

Highlighting the importance of cycling to the students, he said that cycling keeps a person healthy. * As per advice of School Principal Dr. Vinod Kumar, saplings of Peepal, Banyan, Neem and Palash were planted to keep the eviornmenr healthy.

*Renewable Energy & Electric Vehicle Expo known as REEVE-2023 was formally inaugurated by Sh. Nitin Kumar Yadav, IAS, Home Secretary cum Secretary Transport, UT Chandigarh on 22nd Sep 2023,who emphasised the importance of the green and clean initiatives of the administration especially the role of CREST in making ocean change both physical and behavioural changes among the people in presence of Sh. *200 students from over 20 prominent schools of the city participated *15 partially blind students of Institute for the Blind also came
