Chandigarh, July 7. Balram Ji Das Tandon Charitable Foundation distributed monthly rations to 89 needy widowed women today. Notably, the foundation was established in the memory of former Governor of Chhattisgarh late Balram Ji Das Tandon, focusing on social welfare, and through this organization, they have been providing ration supplies for nutrition and sustenance to needy widowed women and their families.

Speaking on the occasion, Foundation founder member and Chairman Sanjay Tandon said that helping the needy is the greatest social service, especially through food assistance.

He mentioned that he inherited a legacy of public service alongside politics from his father, Balram Ji Das Tandon. Continuing in his father's footsteps, the foundation is distributing rations to needy women in the city.

Sanjay Tandon, the president of the foundation, stated that even during the lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic, they did not stop the initiative of providing rations to the needy. Although they faced some challenges, their journey on the path of public service continued uninterrupted.

Appreciating Tandon's efforts, needy women (beneficiary) who received the ration praised the consistent provision of rations through the foundation, considering it a virtuous deed, and expressed their gratitude.
