Chandigarh, 12.07.24- : Rotary International District 3080 proudly announces the successful conclusion of the tenure's first project "Annapurna," a community nourishing project. Celebrated during the first week of July, Annapurna Week exemplifies the district's unwavering commitment to serving society.

This year, the six zones of the district, with around 2000 Rotaractors, united to make a significant impact, contributing to the distribution of food worth approximately INR 2 lakh.
DRR Shashank Kaushik remarked, "Project 'Annapurna' is a testament to the power of collective effort and compassion. By nourishing both the body and spirit, we lay the foundation for a resilient and self-sustaining community. "
Rtr. Aman Garg, District Director of Community Services, RID 3080, reflected on the initiative, stating, "The first event under community services was the biggest challenge for me as it was also the first project of this tenure. The most important thing was not only to provide food to those we were serving but also to teach them skills so that they could become self-reliant. "
Project "Annapurna" continues to be a beacon of hope and empowerment, demonstrating the district's commitment to addressing hunger and fostering self-sufficiency within the community. This year's efforts have not only provided immediate relief but have also laid the groundwork for sustainable development and independence for many families.
