Jalandhar, 17.07.24- - Lovely Professional University (LPU) organized the third edition of the "ASU Congregation Ceremony for African Students-2024". The event witnessed the presence of top international delegates and distinguished dignitaries.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of His Excellency Anisa Kapufi Mbega, the High Commissioner of Tanzania to India, who served as the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, presided over the event. Col. Rashmi Mittal, Pro Chancellor of LPU, Felix Boateng Marfo, protocol officer from Ghana; and other eminent guests, including Magreth Fabian Kapinga, Finance Attaché from Tanzania, Veronica Ramadhani Abdallah, Administrative Attaché from Tanzania, Dr. Aman Mittal, Vice President of LPU, and Abubakary Saleh Mwinyipembe, H.E. Spouse from Tanzania, also attended the event.

He highlighted the deep and longstanding connection between India and Africa, tracing the roots of humanity from its origins in Africa to its journey in India. Dr. Mittal emphasized that African students at LPU not only find this connection within the university but also across India.”

The congregation brought together students from 27 African countries.
