Mohali, 17th July -Under the aegis of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) organized the launching ceremony of “Healthcare Programs for International Job Opportunities” in Shiwalikview, Sec -17 Chandigarh.

Dr. Rajeev Sood, Vice Chancellor, BFUHS, Faridkot was the Chief Guest while Dr. Sandeep Kaura, Advisor, National Skill Development Council (NSDC) & NSDC, International was special guest of honour. Mr, Sanjay Malaviya, Founder & Advisor, QAI, UK was Guest of Honour & Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA presided over this session.

The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony & Dr. Anshu Kataria extended floral welcome to all dignitaries. On the occasion, around 150 members of PUCA attended the session. NSDC International made a presentation on various plans. QAI, UK also made a detailed presentation on training of 1500 plus skill based healthcare programs.

VC, BFUHS while addressing all said that many health professional students from Punjab are moving abroad in Canada, Australia, UK, New Zealand etc for various job opportunities but after completing such skill based programs in our country the aspiring students will get better job opportunities here as well as abroad. He appreciated the efforts of PUCA president & members for this information session.

Sandeep Kaura mentioned that a high-paying job, top-class education and better quality of life continue to draw millions of Indians to foreign shores. But for many, this dream is in danger of turning into a nightmare as in Punjab there are almost 15000 immigration consultants and some are creating much trouble for aspiring students throughout the immigration process. The best way to go abroad is to upgrade your skill under Govt to Govt projects which are executed by NSDC International.

Dr. Anshu Kataria while thanking all present mentioned that the healthcare sector worldwide has undergone a remarkable transformation. The demand of healthcare professionals in India & abroad is higher than ever which has created massive job opportunities but the aspiring candidates need to enhance their skills in Diagnostics, Training, Assessment etc.
