ZIRAKPUR,18.07.24-'Sukoon', as the event was titled, brought in sheer calmness & inner joy as NGO Tammana spent the day well for seniors and children alike, at Kartar Aasra Old Age Home and Orphanage, Sector 1, Chandigarh. The team paid a visit to the residents there, fostering community ties and bringing smiles.

The event started off beautifully with a 'Meet and Greet', and giving away beautiful fresh roses ; connecting the residents and the team members across generations, engaging in heart-to-heart conversations, bonding over tea and snacks & a lot of unanticipated dancing & singing.
Event coordinator & SPOC for the event, Meenakshi Mahajan shared that purpose of the event was to lend an ear to the residents, and to remind them that they are valued members of the society. The talks ranged from one-on-one to group conversations, complemented by tea and refreshments brought in by the NGO.
Chief advisor , Prabjhjeet Singh stated that ' Tammana, through this event, aimed at not only enriching individual lives but also strengthening the social fabric of our society, where no one feels alone or forgotten, regardless of age or circumstance.'
Founder Isha Kakaria thanked the Kartar Asra management for their cooperation in organising this event and welcoming the NGO with open arms. She commented "We're creating lasting bonds that enrich the lives of both our senior citizens and orphaned children, proving that family can be found in unexpected places."
