Chandigarh, July 21:On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, Sanjay Tandon, BJP leader and National Executive Member, along with his wife Priya Tandon, sought blessings from Shri Satya Sai Baba at Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. Congratulating the residents of Chandigarh, Tandon highlighted the profound teachings of Satya Sai Baba that inspire a life of service, humility, and devotion.
Tandon quoted, "What one cannot achieve through effort, a guru can make it happen. Among the nine types of wealth, none is greater than the guru."
He reverently acknowledged Shri Guruve Namah, "He who inspires, shows the way, imparts the knowledge of truth, is the Guru."
Guru Purnima, celebrated on the full moon day of Ashadha in India, holds special significance as it marks the birth of Ved Vyasa, who bestowed knowledge of the four Vedas to humanity and authored the Puranas. Tandon emphasized that this day is dedicated to honoring gurus and serves as a day of profound worship.
He underscored that a guru represents not merely a person but embodies the ultimate truth, knowledge, a venerable tradition, and the bestower of liberation.
Tandon expressed profound respect and admiration for gurus, referring to them as compassionate ocean-like figures an stated "Where there is knowledge, there is completeness."
He added that a guru symbolizes knowledge and without a guru, every person's life is incomplete because a guru guides one in the right direction, enabling them to achieve their destination. Hence, not only on Guru Purnima but every day, one should respect the guru, whose position is higher than the parents.
