Ludhiana 22 July 2024-Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana trained 10 Veterinary Officers of the Animal Husbandry Department of Madhya Pradesh. This five days training programme was conducted on the title “Recent Trends in Animal Disease Diagnosis Using Imaging and Laboratory Techniques”. This training was jointly organised by departments of Animal Disease Research Centre (ADRC) and Veterinary Surgery & Radiology along with the Directorate of Extension Education.

Dr. Navdeep Singh, HoD, Veterinary Surgery informed that participants were engaged in hands-on sessions, and advanced imaging technologies relating to radiography and ultrasonography were demonstrated. The daily cases at the University Veterinary Hospital were also discussed. Dr. Mandeep Singh Bal, In-Charge ADRC highlighted that the participants were provided hands-on experience regarding laboratory diagnosis of major microbial and parasitic diseases of livestock along with practical training on hemato-biochemical, urinalysis and its interpretation.

Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Director of Extension Education congratulated the participants on successful completion of the training. He further said that the university has a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital with the most recent and advanced diagnostic facilities.
