CHANDIGARH:26.07.24- On the occasion of 88th birth anniversary of litterateur, journalist and educationist late Dr. Dharmswaroop Gupt, Srijan Institution organized a poetry recitation competition in Maharishi Dayanand Public School, MDAV Bhawan, Daria, Chandigarh.

The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Sarita Mehta, Founder President of Vidyadham USA, Somesh Gupt, President of Srijan.
This competition was divided into two parts, junior and senior respectively. In the junior category, students recited poems like Pyaas, Aandhi, Bezubaan, Dayare, Antardrishti, Bhatkan, Mera Desh, Aye Mere Watan, Main Hindustani, Bharat Ki Santan, Pyaas, Zindagi, Halat Mein Sudhar, Mehfil etc.
Students of the senior category presented poems like Dishaheen, Aandhi, Zindagi Ek Lehar, Aye Mere Dost, Sawan Ki Kya Baat Kahun Main, Muskaan etc. In the junior category, Hamaira, Nikki, Lakshmi got first, second and third place respectively. While Raj and Ankush were awarded consolation prizes.
In the senior category, Kalpana got first place, Piyush got second and Rupanshi got third place. While Nancy and Kajal were awarded with consolation prizes.
Dr. Sarita Mehta while addressing the students said that Dr. Dharmswaroop Gupt was a teacher of high caliber. His creations are becoming the voice of the people today. His works are guiding people.
Dr. Vinod Sharma Pincipal of the school said that Dr. Dharmswaroop Gupt was full of simple life and high thinking. He gave a new direction to the field of education as well as literature and journalism. He said that programs will be organized from time to time in the memory of Dr. Dharmswaroop Gupt. He also announced to give fans to the school.
