Chandigarh Police arrested Harish R/o # 1619 Ph-02 Ramdarbar Chandigarh age-19 years and recovered 13.58 grams heroin, from his possession at Sector-31 Chandigarh on 14.10.2024. A case FIR No. 207 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress

Robbery/Arms ACT

A Case FIR No 158 U/S 309(4),351(2) BNS & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in police Station Sector-39 Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashwani Kumar R/o # 538 Sector-56 Chandigarh against Kirandeep @ Kaka, Kamaldeep Singh @ Gopi, Chanchal and others persons, complainant stated that said accused in Thar & Baleno car number not known sped away after robbed Cash Rs. 25,000/30,000 after showing pistol and broken glass of his car No CH-01AF-2174 near Petrol Pump Sector 41 Chandigarh on 14.10.2024. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Quarrel

A Case FIR No 84 U/S 115(2), 118(1),3(5) has been registered in Police Station Mauli jagran Chandigarh on the complaint of Sunil R/o # 2612 Mauli complex Chandigarh against Sameer @ Pali R/o Rajiv Colony Sector 17 Panchkula Haryana and others, complainant stated that Sameer and others Quarrel and stabbed to him with knife near Shisham Wali Gali, Mauli Complex Chandigarh on intervening night 12/13-10-2024. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GMCH-32 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cheating/Immigration Act

A Case FIR No 110 U/S 420,120(B) IPC & Immigration Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 03 Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o # District Kurukshetra, Haryana and others against Satvir Singh, Director of Visa Support Service SCO No. 18-19, Sector 08/C Chandigarh who cheated with complainant’s Rs. 9,55,000/- regarding job visa. The firm neither provide job Visa nor returned their money. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No 176 U/S 406, 420,120(B) IPC has been registered in Police Station Sector 17 Chandigarh on the complaint of Shamsher Sinh R/o # 126 Ward no 23 Indra Colony Tohana Fatehabad (HR) against Nitin Dhiman and others R/o # Visa support Sector 17 Chandigarh. They cheated with complainant Rs. 9,22,800/-regarding visa. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Traffic Advisory for 16th October, 2024

In view of the VVIP visit on 16.10.2024, the general public is hereby informed that:-

1. Traffic will be diverted/restricted on Dakshin Marg from Airport Light Point to Tribune Chowk, on Purv Marg from Tribune Chowk to Transport Light Point and on Madhya Marg from Transport Light Point to Dhillon Barrier during the movement of the VVIP. General public is requested to avoid the above stretch/road from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM respectively.

2. Further, traffic movement may be restricted/diverted on certain road stretches in view of VVIP visit.

3. In view of the above, general public is requested to adopt alternate routes to avoid any congestion/inconvenience.

4. Further, general public is requested to follow the Social Media Account of Chandigarh Traffic Police for real time updates on traffic.

5. General public is advised not to park/ply their vehicles on cycle track/pedestrian pathway and No Parking Area, otherwise strict action shall be taken as per law and vehicles shall be towed away.
