Violation of DM Orders
A Case FIR No. 250 U/S 223 BNS has been registered at Police Station 36 on the complaint of ASI Jasram. During a check of the entry registers and ID proofs at multiple hotels in Kajheri, the managers of Dream Town Hotel, New Grand Hotel, Blue Moon Hotel, and Doaba Hotel were found violating DM's orders regarding customer identification. The accused were arrested and later bailed out.
Snatching
A Case FIR No. 97 U/S 304, 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station 49 on the complaint of woman resident of Village Jagatpura, Mohali, Punjab. She reported that three unknown motorcyclists snatched her mobile phone near the Motor Market, Sector-48, Chandigarh, on 06-12-2024 at about 7:30 PM. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Cheating
A Case FIR No. 206 U/S 409, 420, 120B IPC & 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station 17 on the complaint of Dalip Singh R/O # Baltana, Zirakpur, Punjab. He alleged that Gurjant Singh, and others from the Advance IELTS Institute (SCO 60-62, Cabin No. 403, Sector-17) took ₹16 lakhs from him to send his son abroad but neither provided the visa nor refunded the money. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Theft
A Case FIR No. 248 U/S 379 IPC has been registered at Police Station 36 on the complaint of woman R/O Red Flats, Mauli Jagran, Sector-61, Chandigarh. She reported that ₹30,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from her account using her debit card on 27-06-2023. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 249 U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station 36 on the complaint of Hari Chand who reported the theft of a heritage plaque commemorating the inauguration of the 2nd phase of Chandigarh from the Green Belt near Petrol Pump, Sector-35. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 181 U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station 39 on the complaint of Major General Basant Singh Himalayan (Retd.), resident of Sector-37, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. He reported the theft of a purse containing ₹7,000-8,000 in cash, two gold bangles, two gold rings, an iPhone, and an Aadhaar card from the Community Centre in Sector-37, Chandigarh. A Case FIR No. 182 U/S 305(B) & 331(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station 39 on the complaint of Satish Kumar R/O Sector-41B, Chandigarh. He reported the theft of jewelry, including gold bangles, rings, chains, and earrings, along with ₹2 lakh in cash from his house on 06-12-2024. Investigation of this case is in progress.
