CM calls for determination and hard work among youth
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized the importance of determination in achieving success, stating that no goal in life can be achieved without strong willpower. He encouraged the youth to set clear objectives and work diligently to accomplish them. The Chief Minister appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs and engage in activities such as sports and other constructive pursuits. He said that the state government is taking stringent action against drug mafias to safeguard the future of the youth.
Speaking at the National Fashion Week event in Shimla on Tuesday late evening, the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to promote tourism through initiatives like the Winter Carnival in Shimla. "The carnival will provide a platform for emerging talent through cultural programs, with plans to include fashion shows in the future," Sh. Sukhu said.
He lauded the achievements of daughters, who are excelling in various fields and bringing laurels to the state. The Chief Minister also said that the government is committed to bring significant changes in education and healthcare sector to make Himachal Pradesh prosperous and self-reliant.
In the event, Suryansh Chandel from Sundernagar claimed the top spot in the Mr. North India Supermodel contest, with Karthikeyan Thakur from Mohali and Suyansh Dhingra from Faridabad securing the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. In the Miss North India Supermodel contest, Simone Mehta from Rohru was crowned the winner, followed by Shreya Thakur from Sujanpur Tihra as the first runner-up and Savita Thakur from Karsog as the second runner-up. The competition witnessed participation from contestants representing four states.
The winners were felicitated by the Chief Minister during the ceremony. Additionally, 'Nati King' Kuldeep Sharma was honored with 'Heera of Himachal' award.
MLA Harish Janartha, Chief Minister’s Principal Media Advisor Naresh Chauhan, Chairman Live Times TV Sahaj Shabad Goyal, Chief Editor Pankaj Sood, Raghav Sood and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

CM pays floral tribute to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee by garlanding his statue at The Ridge, Shimla, on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary.
Speaking to media persons, the Chief Minister lauded Vajpayee’s immense contribution to the nation, describing him as an extraordinary statesman, an outstanding parliamentarian and a gifted poet. He said that Late Sh. Vajpayee had a deep affection for Himachal Pradesh and its people.
Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said that he was going to participate in the two-day Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Karnataka. He said that he also plans to meet Union Ministers on 28th December, where he would discuss pressing issues concerning Himachal Pradesh, including declining GST compensation, Revenue deficit Grants (RDG) and the state’s loan limit.
Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that during the tenure of the present state government, the pace of development in Himachal Pradesh has significantly increased, with enhanced revenue generation supporting infrastructure and public welfare initiatives.

Greenco presents Rs. 1.35 Crore cheque to CM for Samej Disaster Relief Efforts
Anoop Banyal, General Manager of Greenco Company, presented a cheque of Rs. 1.35 crore to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today, to support the victims of the Samej disaster in Shimla district.
The funds will be used to assist families affected by the devastating monsoon disaster this year. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the company’s management for this noble gesture.
Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Rs. 2 lakh each would be provided to 32 families whose homes were completely damaged, while another Rs. 2 lakh will be provided to 33 families who lost their loved ones during the calamity. Additionally, Rs. 1 lakh each will be given to 5 families whose homes sustained partial damage.
He said this contribution would go a long way in the ongoing efforts to support the affected families and help them rebuild their lives.
