CHANDIGARH, 04.03.25--BOSONS-The Physics Club, Post Graduate Department of Physics, Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Sec 32-C, Chandigarh in association with SD Science Club celebrated Science Day on 4th March, 2025.

The event offered an extravaganza of various scientific activities such as academic presentations, scientific quiz, poster making, just a minute, slogan writing and scientific rangoli making competitions, wherein more than 120 UG and PG students from various institutions participated enthusiastically. All the activities were themed as per the current global scientific quest such as sustainable growth, India’s role in green energy and emerging technologies for developed India. The event turned out to be a joyous way of igniting the quest for science amongst students and sensitizing them towards the global issues for sustainability and development. In the Scientific Rangoli competition, the first prize was won by Shivam from DAV College, Sector 10, Yukta Sobti and Shivani Singh from SCERT, Sector 32, Chandigarh. The second prize in this category was won by Neha and Isha from MCM DAV College, while the third prize was won by Vanshika, Vinesh and Harshvardhan from GGDSD College, Chandigarh. In the academic presentations, the first prize was won by Kritika Sharma, second by Navreet Kaur from GGDSD College, while the third prize was won by Ropandeep Kaur Paul from MCM DAV College. For the scientific posters category, the first and second prize were won by Harshita Bharadwaj and Radhika Gupta from GGDSD College. The third prize was won by Kanav from PG Govt. College, Sector 11 and Prerna Sharma from GGDSD College, Chandigarh. In the scientific quiz competition, the first prize was won by the team of Aditya, Arpit and Archit, second prize by Nitansh, Khushi and Arman and the third prize by Pratyaksh, Abhay and Rishita, all from GGDSD College Chandigarh. In the just a minute speech category, the first prize was won by Kanav from PG Govt. College, Sector 11, second prize by Shivani Singh from SCERT, Sector 32 and third prize by Rishita Bansal from GGDSD College, Chandigarh. Winners of all the activities were felicitated with prizes and certificates.

Principal Dr. Ajay Sharma congratulated the winners and urged upon the students to enhance their scientific caliber and zeal through such events. Dr. Neelu Mahajan, HOD, presented a formal vote of thanks and appreciated the students for their active participation.
