Chandigarh, April 5, 2025: As part of the ongoing initiative under the Prime Minister’s Jan Aushadhi Yojana to provide affordable medicines to the people of the country, a new Jan Aushadhi Kendra was inaugurated today in the village of Kajheri, Chandigarh. The inauguration was done by Sanjay Tandon, National Executive Member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Co-Incharge of BJP Himachal Pradesh.

Present at the event were Prince Bandhula, Convenor of the Party’s Medical Cell, District President Khushwinder Singh, Mandal President Suresh, Gopal Shukla, Lalit Kumar, Preeti, Tejinder Singh Hundal, Bhajan Singh, Surjit Singh, Sanjeev, Satpal Verma, and other eminent citizens of Kajheri.

While congratulating the local people on the opening of the Jan Aushadhi Kendra, Sanjay Tandon remarked that this initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, is a revolutionary step in making healthcare services more accessible and affordable for the country's millions of poor, middle-class families, and the general public. As a result of this project, thousands of centers are being opened across the country, providing high-quality generic medicines at extremely low prices.

He further mentioned that at these Jan Aushadhi Kendras, the Modi government not only offers affordable prices for everyday medicines but has also taken steps to make expensive surgical items available at lower prices through these centers. This initiative is directly benefiting people across the country, and we express our gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this commendable step.

He added that it is due to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government that, in addition to senior citizens, poor people in the country can now receive free treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh under the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The Modi government has launched various development schemes for the all-around development of the people, and everyone is benefiting from these efforts.
