CHANDIGARH, 26.04.25-The M.Sc (Nursing) students of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh organized a CNE on Women’s Vaccination on the occasion of Women’s Vaccination Week-2025 in the NINE Auditorium under the Co-ordination of Dr. V. Venkadalakshmi, Associate Professor, NINE, PGIMER, Chandigarh. The theme of the CNE was “Advancing Women’s Health through Vaccination. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Prof. Vanita Jain, Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, PGI, Chandigarh.
Dr. Sukhpal Kaur, Principal, NINE welcomed the Chief Guest and the gatherings and she emphasized the students to learn about HPV Vaccination and disseminate the knowledge to the public.
On the occasion Prof. Vanita Jain sensitized about the HPV vaccination for women for prevention of Cervical Cancer. She further emphasized that vaccinating women not only improves her health but also improve the economic status of women and also empowers them.
Prof. Rashmi Bagga, Department of Obst. and Gynaecolgy, PGI delivered the speech on HPV Vaccine for cervical cancer prevention and Dr. Rimpi Singla, Addl Professor, Deptt. Of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, PGI delivered the speech on vaccination in adolscents and adult women. The poster making and slogan competition was conducted on the theme and certificates were distributed to the winners.
A Total of 230 students participated in the CNE.
