CHANDIGARH POLICE- BRIEF OF CASES 12-10-2024

Quarrel
A Case FIR No. 129 U/S 109, 127 (1), 137(2), 115(2), 190, 191(2), 191(3), 351(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station 11 on the complaint of Karish, resident of house no. 1000, Sector 25/D, who reported that he was brutally assaulted by a group of individuals identified as Kalu, Leelu, Sunny, Angad, Mulla, and others near the jungle area adjacent to the cremation ground in Sector 25, Chandigarh, around 8:30 PM. Following the assault, Karish sustained injuries and was rushed to Government Hospital, Sector 16 (GH-16), where he is currently undergoing treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A Case FIR No. 175 U/S 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered at Police Station 17 on the complaint of Partap Singh, a resident of Lakala village, Bilaspur (HP), who accused Maninder Singh, Paramjeet Singh, and others of cheating him of ₹3 lakh under the pretext of arranging travel abroad through R.S. Immigration Consultancy, located at SCO 129-130, Sector 17. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Forgery
A Case FIR No. 111 U/S 417, 365, 371, 120-B IPC has been registered at Police Station 26 on the complaint of Swatantar Kumar Singal, a resident Sector 21, Panchkula, against Ali Hassan of Partpur Nubra, Leh (Ladakh), and Anil Kumar of house no. 3245, Sector 27D, Chandigarh, for allegedly issuing an Aadhar card using forged documents. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
A Case FIR No. 110 U/S 303(2), 317(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station 26 against Rahul, resident of Plot No. 5 near Pani ki Tanki, Hallomajra, who was arrested for stealing a box of Verka desi ghee from SCO 81, Grain Market, Sector 26, around 9:23 AM. The accused is currently in police custody, with SI Suresh Kumar (1592/CHG) leading the investigation. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 157 U/S 305 BNS has been registered at Police Station 39 on the complaint woman resident of Sector 37C, who reported a theft from her home involving ₹74,500 in cash, a kitty set, a chain, four rings, two pendants, a gold coin, a mangal sutra, and four earrings. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Obstructing Public Movement
A Case FIR No. 130 has been registered at Police Station on complaint of ASI Bhagat Singh (3338/CP) who arrested 41-year-old Chhatrapal Singh, a resident of house no. 34, Village Dhanas, for installing a rehri (cart) on the road, obstructing public movement. The accused was later granted bail.
