Chandigarh:25.07.26-Government Polytechnic for Women, Sector 10-D, Chandigarh, has achieved a major milestone by securing Grade A, the highest accreditation awarded by the Quality Council of India (QCI) through the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) for its Diploma in Pharmacy programme during the institutional assessment for the academic year 2025–26.

The accreditation was awarded following a rigorous three-stage evaluation comprising a desktop assessment, an on-site assessment and the overall institutional performance. The assessment process was undertaken under the guidance of the Secretary, Technical Education and the Directorate of Technical Education, Chandigarh Administration.

With this achievement, the institute has secured the 6th rank at the national level and emerged as the top-ranked institution in North India, including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, under the accreditation framework.

Headed by Principal Mrs. Vin Dosajh, the institute offers six diploma programmes with a strong focus on skill development and women’s empowerment. Guided by its vision, “To incorporate competent skills in women to create a culture par excellence,” the institution continues to prepare industry-ready professionals through quality technical education.

QCI assesses institutions against stringent benchmarks covering academic excellence, outcome-based education, governance, innovation and continuous quality improvement. Securing Grade A reflects the institute’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in technical education.
