Chandigarh: 01st July 2024: State Bank of India celebrated its 69th Bank Day on 01st July 2024.The day was celebrated throughout the country by organizing various programmes at different centers. At Chandigarh, it was celebrated by organizing Circle Level Staff Cultural programme and a get together of local dignitaries, customers, staff and their families at Tagore theatre, Sector-18, Chandigarh. Sh. Krishan Sharma, Chief General Manager, Chandigarh Circle graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The get together was made memorable with energetic and melodious performances of Staff members from the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & UTs of J&K, Ladakh and Chandigarh. The event was comprised of beautiful songs, folk dances, skit, poetry recitation etc. The items were so enthralling that the audience could not take their eyes off even for the briefest of the time.
At the outset, Sh. Krishan Sharma, Chief General Manager, Chandigarh Circle in his brief address, informed the audience about the importance of maintaining the values of glorious heritage of Banking by SBI in its over 200-year journey. Today SBI is in forefront of Banking by leading in Financial Inclusion and providing Banking Services to all. Sh. Sharma said that Bank’s values of Service, Transparency, Ethics, Politeness and Sustainability symbolize the focus of SBI. He also emphasized for need for the digital banking in the present-day world. Sh. Sharma reiterated the Bank’s Commitment to make SBI the Bank of choice for everyone in the transforming India.
Sh. Sharma appreciated the efforts of the participants and the organizing teams to make the event a glorious one and project SBI as staff oriented. He also impressed upon the staff to keep up the good work being done by them and wished them all the best in their future endeavors.
