SHIMLA -7^th October, 2024-President of Him Sports and Cultural Association, Shimla, Naresh Chauhan called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today and extended an invitation to the upcoming ‘Sadbhavana T-20 Cricket Cup Tournament’, scheduled to be held in Shimla on 16 and 17 November 2024.

The event is being organized in collaboration with the HP AIDS Control Society under the theme ‘Nasha Chhoro, Khel Khelo’ to raise awareness about drug abuse. As a symbol of support, he signed a cricket bat displaying the message ‘Nasha Chhoro, Khel Khelo’.

The Chief Minister commended the Association for organizing the tournament with such a noble cause, adding that the state government was taking stringent measures against drug abuse and ensuring strict action against drug peddlers. However, he emphasized that this fight could not be won without the active involvement of the society.

Health Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthy, MLA Harish Janartha and General Secretary of the Association Hardayal Bharadwaj were also present on the occasion.
