Cheating
A Case FIR No. 11 U/S 318 (4), 338, 336 (3), 340 (2) BNS has been registered at Police Station EOW following a complaint filed by Anand Singh, an employee of VFS Global, located at Shivaji Stadium Metro Station, Connaught Place, New Delhi. The complainant has reported the involvement of several travel agents based in Chandigarh, namely Kamal Kumar, who operates a travel agency in Sector-40C, Chandigarh; Anas Khan, the owner of Bishop Immigration located at SCO 77, 1st Floor, Sector-40C/40B, Chandigarh; and Jaspreet Kaur, who runs Veracity Overseas at Piccadily Square Mall, 1st Floor, Chandigarh. The allegations include forgery and fraud perpetrated by these agents. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 198 U/S 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B of IPC has been registered at Police Station 17 on the of complaint of Mohit, a resident of Kapurthala, Punjab alleging that the owners and employees of Immigration B.B. Council, located at SCO No. 69, Sector-17D, Chandigarh, defrauded him of Rs. 6,62,000/- on 06.05.2023. The complainant alleges that the accused, including Ravinder Brar, Manpreet Brar, Rachna Kaushik, Neha, Gagan, and other employees, promised to provide him with a study visa for Canada but failed to do so. Additionally, they have not refunded the amount paid by the complainant. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Theft
A Case FIR No. 175 U/S 305 BNS has been registered at Police Station 34 following a complaint by Joginder Pal, a resident of Sector 77, Mohali. The complainant reported that on the night of 14-11-2024, around 12:30 AM, an unknown person stole two laptops and two Samsung mobile phones from his office located at SCO No. 265, 2nd Floor, Sector 44 C, Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.
