Ambala/Chandigarh/New Delhi, December 29 - Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labor Minister Sh. Anil Vij launched an attack on the Congress today, and said that "Rahul Gandhi and his Congress party have no shame in politicizing even the late former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh."
Sh. Vij was responding to a question asked by media persons regarding the Congress' allegation that performing former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's cremation at Nigambodh Ghat was an insult to him.
He stated that "Politics can be done at an appropriate time and place. As of now, the place for his memorial has not been finalized. The government has already announced that it is searching for and finalizing a site. If the place is not finalized, the cremation had to be conducted somewhere, and that is why it was carried out at Nigambodh Ghat, he said."
"Under this pretext, many notable figures also visited Nigambodh Ghat, who perhaps would never have gone otherwise" -Vij
In this context, Sh. Vij sarcastically remarked without naming anyone, "Under this pretext, many notable figures also visited Nigambodh Ghat, which is primarily created for the common people."
"I hope the Punjab government will act according to the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court" - Vij
When asked about the Supreme Court's order to the Punjab government to shift farmer leader Dallewal to a hospital by December 31, he replied that "Yes, I hope the Punjab government will not indulge in any kind of politics in this matter and will act according to the Hon'ble Supreme Court's orders."
