CHANDIGARH,7-02-2025-The department of Transfusion Medicine conducted two blood donation camps on 7th February, 2025 under the guidance of Prof.R.R.Sharma One at Satlok Ashram, Khamano, District Fatehgarh Sahibunder the leadership of Dr.Anubhav Gupta and collected 104 blood units.
Second at ShastriMarket, Sector 22-C, Chandigarh under the leadership of Dr.Apurva And collected 143 blood units. The Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh expresses its sincere gratitude to all its volunteer donors who came forward to donate on the occasion. The donated blood and components help in catering the needs of the critically ill patients in the institute.

The Department of Anatomy, PGIMER, Chandigarh has received the body of Mrs Gurnam Kaur W/O Mr Gurdev Singh, aged 83 years, R/O Kot Kapura, Faridkot who died on 06th Feb 2025. The body was gracefully donated by her son Mr Balwant Singh Gill on 07th Feb 2025. The Department is grateful to the family members and admires them for this noble gesture.
