CHANDIGARH, 15.The Institutions Innovation Cell (IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Post Graduate Government College Sector-46, Chandigarh organised “Karigari Se Karobari" fest, an initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and encouraging employment opportunities among the students.

The fest was inaugurated by Professor J. K. Sehgal, Principal of the college in the presence of Professor Sneh Harshinder Sharma, Vice Principal of the college. Professor Principal Sehgal said that the purpose of the fest was to promote self-employment and entrepreneurial skills among students so that they need not stand in queue for jobs after completing education. The theme 'Karigari Se Karobari' – from craftsmanship to entrepreneurship –resonates deeply with our institution's commitment to fostering innovation, creativity, and self-reliance, he added.He urged the students to seize this opportunity to showcase their talents, learn from each other, and transform their ideas into successful ventures.

Students of all the streams actively participated in the fest, and there were more than 35 Stalls set up by the student owners where various types of products, arts and crafts, and games were sold. The fest witnessed a great response from students and staff and the stall owners earned a handsome amount over their investment. The fest was organised by Dr. Mukesh Chauhan and Dr. Baljit Singh.
