Chandigarh, March 3 : Haryana Forest and Wildlife Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, emphasized the importance of animal and bird conservation to maintain the natural balance. He urged everyone to take a pledge to protect wildlife.
Forest and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh was addressing a program organized at the Peacock and Chinkara Breeding Center in Jhabua village, Bawal subdivision, on the occasion of World Wildlife Conservation Day today.
On this occasion, he also released male and female peacocks from the breeding center. It is worth noting that the reserved forest area of approximately 748 acres conserves various animals and birds, including chinkara, peacock, and deer.
Minister Rao Narbir Singh stated that the Forest and Wildlife Department is actively working in several districts of the state for the conservation of animals and birds. A blueprint for the Jungle Safari Project has been prepared in the Aravalli mountain range, which will contribute to wildlife conservation and create employment opportunities for local communities. He emphasized the commitment to conserving and promoting endangered species and urged every citizen to cooperate in their protection.

Chandigarh, March 3 – Continuing with the Haryana Government's "Pre-Budget Consultation" initiative, Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini today engaged with all Ministers, MLAs, and Administrative Secretaries to gather their valuable suggestions for the budget of the financial year 2025-26, aiming to present an inclusive budget that reflects the needs of all stakeholders.
The first session of the two-day "Pre-Budget Consultation" commenced today at Red Bishop, Panchkula, under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister.
It is noteworthy that the State Government has been organizing the Pre-Budget Consultation program for the past six years. This year, sector-specific meetings have been held over the past several days to take suggestions from various stakeholders. On January 2, first such meeting was held with the Industry Association and Chartered Accountants in Gurugram to collect key suggestions. Similarly, discussions were held in Hisar with agricultural scientists, FPOs, agricultural stakeholders, and progressive farmers. The consultation process also included sessions with startups, youth, women entrepreneurs, women representatives, self-help groups, Namo Drone Didi, and the textile industry, all aimed at crafting an inclusive budget. In addition, for the first time, suggestions were invited from the state's citizens through an online portal, which has already received about 10,000 submissions.
Nayab Singh Saini, who also holds the portfolio of Finance Minister, said that in order to fulfill the vision of an inclusive budget, the "Pre-Budget Consultation" program today, March 3, MLAs of both the ruling party and the opposition provided their valuable suggestions. The Chief Minister said that by integrating these important inputs into the upcoming budget, efforts will be made to further simplify the lives of the people. He assured that the best suggestions from various sectors would be included in the state’s budget, which will serve the interests of the 2.80 crore citizens of Haryana. He further highlighted that this budget will be the first of the third term of the Haryana Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi, and it will further accelerate the continuous development of the state.
Sh Nayab Singh Saini attentively listened to the suggestions shared by all the MLAs and assured them that the upcoming budget will incorporate the key recommendations, ensuring the state's rapid development. He said that the budget will not only address immediate needs but will also focus on achieving long-term objectives for the state's growth.
On this occasion, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sh. Harvinder Kalyan, Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishan Kumar Midha, all Ministers, MLAs, Chief Secretary Sh Anurag Rastogi, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh Rajesh Khullar and senior officers of the state government were also present.
It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini personally addressed a written communication to all MLAs inviting them to participate in the "Pre-Budget Consultation."
On the second day of the "Pre-Budget Consultation," scheduled for March 4, two sessions will be held from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, during which MLAs will present their suggestions. These inputs from MLAs and Ministers will subsequently be incorporated into the state budget.

Chandigarh, March 3 - A glimpse of women empowerment was seen in the pre-budget consultation meeting organised to take suggestions for the budget 2025-26 in Sector-1, Panchkula today under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, who is also the Finance Minister of the state.
The Chief Minister first gave the opportunity to women MLAs to speak and put forward their suggestions. Congress MLA Geeta Bhukkal spoke first.
More than 25 MLAs gave suggestions in the first session of the meeting. The second session will be held tomorrow. The Opposition MLAs expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for continuing the tradition started by former Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal of inviting suggestions before the budget. A key feature of this meeting was that out of 90 MLAs, 40 MLAs have been elected for the first time in the 14th Vidhan Sabha and they expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for providing an open house platform to give suggestions in the budget.
Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sh. Rajesh Khullar, besides Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Heads of Departments of all departments were present in the meeting. All the officers noted the suggestions given by the MLAs. The Chief Minister assured to include the good suggestions in the budget.
The Chief Minister said that even before this, pre-budget meetings have been organized in Faridabad, Gurugram, Panipat and Hisar. Last year, 407 suggestions were received, which were included in the budget. Apart from this, suggestions have also been taken from startups, young women entrepreneurs, women representatives, self-help groups, and about 10,000 suggestions have been received. He assured that the upcoming budget will meet the expectations of 2.80 crore people of the state. Apart from the budget, some MLAs also placed the demands of their area before the Chief Minister. In the meeting, the MLAs demanded to establish MLA Vikas Nidhi Fund and to increase the limit of demand for MLAs to Rs 5 crore in 5 years for development works in their area.

*Kshtipurti Portal opened on the instructions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini*
Chandigarh, March 3 – In line with the directions of Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini, Kshtipurti portal has been opened to facilitate farmers in uploading information regarding the crop loss caused by recent unseasonal rains and hailstorms.
The Chief Minister had instructed Deputy Commissioners of all districts to gather and forward relevant information of crops loss to the headquarters for timely action.
The details of crop losses are gathered from 615 villages across 10 districts of the state. The Kshtipurti portal have been opened for 66 villages in Ambala, 20 villages in Bhiwani, 7 villages in Hisar, and 9 villages in Charkhi Dadri. In addition, the portal has been opened for 78 villages in Yamunanagar, 66 villages in Jind, 81 villages in Rewari, 19 villages in Palwal, 9 villages in Nuh, and 160 villages in Mahendragarh.
The state government is committed to ensuring that the farmers receive timely compensation for the losses they have suffered. The portal will enable efficient processing of claims, helping the government provide relief to farmers as soon as possible.

*Farmers can report crop damage on toll-free number: Agriculture Minister*
Chandigarh, March 3 – Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana said for the convenience of farmers of the state, the facility of reporting crop damage is available through Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Haryana Kshatipurti Portal.
He said farmers who have registered under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana can contact their concerned Agriculture Officer or call on toll-free number 14447 and register their crop damage report within 72 hours.
At the same time, farmers who are not registered under this scheme can register their loss on the Haryana Kshatipurti Portal. For this, registration on the 'Meri Fasal, Mera Byora' portal is mandatory. The Agriculture Minister appealed to such farmers to get registered on the portal as soon as possible.
Sh. Rana urged all the affected farmers to avail the benefits of the government's assistance schemes by registering their crop damage report within the stipulated time limit.

Chandigarh, March 3 - Under the able leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, who is also the Excise and Taxation Minister of the state, the Excise and Taxation Department has achieved significant growth in the collection of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
In February 2025, gross GST revenue of Rs 1,83,646 crore was collected in the country, which is 9.1 per cent more than the GST revenue of the same month last year. At the same time, the gross GST collection in Haryana in February 2025 is Rs 9,925 crore, while in February 2024, it was Rs 8,269 crore, which shows an increase of 20 per cent. This is double the national growth average of 10 per cent. Haryana remains among the top 5 states in the country in GST collection along with Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
Giving information, a government spokesperson said this not only reflects the success of the tax reform policy of the Haryana Government but it is also an important step towards ensuring development of the state. Haryana had also shown the highest growth rate among the big states in January 2025. The increase in GST collection reflects economic progress. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the Excise and Taxation Department will continue to progress in the same way and will make Haryana a strong state at the economic and financial level.
The Excise and Taxation Department contributes more than 80 per cent of the total revenue of the state under the heads SGST, Excise Duty and VAT. During the period April 2024-February 2025, the Excise and Taxation Department has collected Rs 57,125 crore which is more than 90 per cent of the total Budget target amounting to Rs 63,348 crore for the year 2024-25 and the department is all set to exceed the Budget target.
The government spokesperson said revenue is an important source for the government, which provides the necessary funds to develop various government projects, provide civic services and encourage the development of the country and the state. The Excise and Taxation Department is trying to collect more revenue than the target set for the department in the state budget so that there is no shortage of funds for developmental works in the state. Such efforts of the department enhance the strength of the state government and take the state to the heights of economic development.

The meeting, convened to gather suggestions for the 2025-26 budget, began with a two-minute silence in honour of the departed soul of Sh Satpal Sangwan, who passed away today in Gurugram after a prolonged illness.
Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini, Speaker of the Assembly Sh Harvinder Kalyan, all ministers, and MLAs present at the meeting collectively paid their respects by observing the moment of silence, remembering Sh. Sangwan’s contributions to the state.
