Chandigarh,06.03.19-Govt. of Punjab in collaboration with ICSI –International Chamber for Services Industryhas organized International Medical Tourism Conference- Destination Punjab. This Conference today has seen the august gathering of all Super speciality Hospitals, Eminent Doctors, Health and Wellness providers, Fitness providers, travel and tourism Experts, Punjab Aviation Industry Representatives, Hospitality Sector, Banks and Insurance Provider under a common roof ,united together to discuss, deliberate and develop an Ecosystem making Punjab a Medical Tourism Hub.

The Inaugural address was given Ms. Vini Mahajan, IAS Additional Chief Secretary, and Govt. of Punjab. Here words has a power of conviction that Punjab has all things to offer to a medical tourist, best doctors, Quality care,Super speciality hospitals accredited with National and International bodies. What need to be done is coming together, working together of all stakeholders, cooperating with each other as well as mutual self-help to make Punjab No. 1 Destination for Medical tourism.

Major (Dr.) Gulshan Sharma, Director General ICSI pledged and urged all the stakeholders of Medical Tourism Ecosystem to have a collaborative approach for integrated development of Medical tourism in State .ICSI has initiated a medical service facilitation web portal –www.myhealthtrip.in which will be a single stop channel for all foreign Patients seeking Quality healthcare and treatments in Punjab.

There were panel discussions on Health, wellness, medical tourism and Holistic Healing the active participation of Medical, Health and Wellness Service providers. Few suggestions and concerns that come out were to have Punjab to have an integrated approach for Medical tourism development with Value addition in Services for both patients and the accompanied attendants and also to increase accessibility for foreign medical tourist buy increasing air connectivity to Central Asia, middle East and ASEAN with Punjab.
