Chandigarh, 21.09.24-: While Punjabi films usually offer humor and light-heartedness, 'Jahankila' struck me as something different, so I stepped forward to promote it. This was stated by legendary personality Kapil Dev. Today, he interacted with journalists at a press conference organized here at the Chandigarh Press Club on the occasion of the release of the film 'Jahankila'. He said that the film carries an inspiring message for the youth, so they must watch this film. He also mentioned that although he watches fewer films generally, 'Jahankila' left an impact on him. The director of the film, Vicky Kadam, whose directorial debut this is, explained that in collaboration with Housejet Productions and SVIP Films, it provides a platform for equal opportunities in content development for youth, enabling them to make significant contributions to society. He described how the film 'Jahankila' discusses patriotism, national unity, and focuses on empowering women and youth. He explained that the name 'Jahankila' means 'World Fort', symbolizing the steadfast dedication, courage, and sacrifice of our commandos who risk their lives to keep us safe. They undergo rigorous training at the famous Bahadurgarh Fort. In addition, the historical importance of Bahadurgarh Fort is also significant. The 9th Sikh Guru, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, meditated at the prestigious gurdwara located within the fort during his journey. This sacred connection has added a layer of spirituality to the fort's rich heritage. Keeping all these aspects in mind, 'Jahankila' has become an appropriate name for this film. The film presents an inspiring story that showcases the challenges facing today's youth and illustrates how empowering them can bring about significant change in society. Additionally, the film is dedicated to those selfless brave soldiers who ensure our safety and well-being day and night. Their dedication allows us to enjoy festivals and cherish priceless moments with our families. We commend their contributions and aim to highlight them. Regarding making the film tax-free, he said that he will appeal to Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan about it. Lead actor Jobanpreet Singh, lead actress Gurbani Gill, and lyricist and music composer Shailendra Sodhi were also present at this event."
