SHIMLA -12 January, 2025-Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today laid the foundation stone of the bridge to be built on Maseh Khad at a cost of Rs. 5.11 crore. This bridge will connect the remote areas of Nadaun Assembly constituency and Jaswan Pragpur Assembly constituency of Kangra district, the construction of which will benefit the people of three districts of the state Hamirpur, Una and Kangra. The construction of this bridge will provide facilities to about 10 thousand people of four Gram Panchayats of Nadaun, two Gram Panchayats of Una and six Panchayats of Kangra district. The people of the area had been demanding the construction of this bridge since 1970, which has been fulfilled by the present state government. With the construction of this bridge, the distance between Nadaun and Bangana will be reduced by about 7.50 km and the distance between Nadaun-Peer Saluhi will be reduced by about 6 km.

The Chief Minister congratulated the people of the area for this bridge and said that this bridge will be constructed within a period of one year, which will benefit the public. He said that the road of the village will also be paved. He said that the state government is ensuring uniform development of the entire state, so that the public is benefitted. He said that the people of the village Nauri met him several times with the demand to build this bridge.

Congress leader Surender Mankotia said that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has special affection for the people of Jaswan Pragpur Assembly Constituency and he has dedicated many schemes for the development of Kangra district, which are also benefiting the people of Jaswan Pragpur. He said that the Chief Minister donated his entire life's savings for the affected families during the disaster. Not only this, he has set an example by giving up the subsidy on electricity.

SP Hamirpur Bhagat Singh Thakur, Additional District Magistrate Hamirpur Rahul Chauhan along with representatives of Panchayati Raj institutions and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
