Chandigarh, January 12, 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chandigarh has successfully concluded another crucial phase of its Sangathan Parv 2024 with the unanimous election of District Presidents. The District Presidents elected through the democratic process are set to take forward the party’s grassroots initiatives and strengthen its organisational efforts in Chandigarh.

Bhupinder Saini has been elected as the District President of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya District. While Ravinder Malik has been elected as the District President of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee District. Khushwinder Singh has been elected as the District President of Bharat Ratna Atal District, and Rekha Sood has been elected as the District President of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar District. Dalip Kumar has been elected as the District President of Shaheed Bhagat Singh District, and Anoop Gupta has been elected as the District President of Rani Laxmibai District.

Sangathan Parv 2024 kicked off with a record-breaking primary membership drive that saw close to 1,20,000 new members join the party in Chandigarh. After the formation of booth and mandal committees, the election of district presidents is a crucial step in the ongoing organisational process. Chief Spokesperson and State Returning Officer Dr. Dharinder Tayal expressed confidence in the newly elected district presidents and said, "These district presidents bring experience, dedication and a deep understanding of the party's mission. Under their leadership, BJP's activities in Chandigarh will gain momentum and infuse new enthusiasm among the workers." Apart from the election of district presidents, BJP Chandigarh has also elected its Pradesh Parishad members, who will soon participate in the selection of the state president. This phased and structured process will ultimately lead to the election of the BJP's National President, exemplifying the party's position as the world's largest and most democratic political organisation. Dr. Tayal appreciated the hard work and dedication of party members and workers in ensuring smooth implementation of Sangathan Parv 2024.
