CHANDIGARH, 24.06.25-Under the able leadership of Principal, Prof. J.K. Sehgal and Vice Principal, Prof Sneh Harshinder Sharma, the Library Outreach Society of Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, Chandigarh organized Library Related Competitions (Essay Writing, Slogan Writing, Collage making, Book Mark Making and Book Cover Making).
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Sehgal said that a library is the heart of any academic institution, and it plays a vital role in fostering a culture of learning, research, and innovation. He further said that these competitions are a wonderful way to promote library awareness, encourage literacy, and develop critical thinking and creative skills among students. He urged the students to continue exploring the vast resources available in the library and to develop a love for reading and learning. He congratulated the Library Outreach Society for their efforts in organizing this event which witnessed a great response from students.
To commemorate the anniversary of the resolution passed by the Indian Parliament on February 22nd, 1994, the Department of Public Administration of Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, Chandigarh organised a Pledge administering ceremony. Through this resolution, which was unanimously adopted by both Houses of Parliament, the Government of India reaffirmed its firm and rightful claim over the entire territory of Jammu and Kashmir, including the areas illegally occupied by Pakistan. The Principal of the college, Prof. J.K. Sehgal in the presence of Vice Principal, Prof Sneh Harshinder Sharma, administered the pledge to the teaching and non teaching staff.
