Mohali, November 17-The 10th Inter-Zonal youth fesr of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda was inaugurated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor, MRSPTU. S. Gurlal Singh, MLA Ghanuar, graced the occasion as the Special Guest while Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, presided over.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma said that youth festivals play a vital role in shaping the personality of students. “Such platforms nurture creativity, confidence and leadership among the youth. I am delighted to witness the remarkable energy, participation and talent displayed by the students today,” he shared.
Addressing the gathering, MLA, Ghanuar said, “Events like these encourage students to explore their abilities beyond academics. Aryans Group deserves appreciation for bringing together students from across the region to celebrate culture, creativity and innovation.”
Dr. Anshu Kataria in his remarks said, “Aryans has always focused on holistic development. Hosting the MRSPTU Youth Fest is a matter of pride, and it is inspiring to witness thousands of young participants showcasing their unique talents.”
Prof. Bhupinder Pal Singh Dhot, Director, Sports and Youth Welfare, MRSPTU, presented the annual cultural and youth welfare report, highlighting the university’s achievements at both state and national levels. Prof. Sunita Kotwal, Member of the Cultural Council commendably compered the programme.
The dignitaries from MRSPTU who attended the event included Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar, Registrar; Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh Dhot, Director, Sports & Youth Welfare; Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Director, College Development Council; Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Professor Incharge, CRC; Harjinder Singh Sidhu, Director, Public Relations; Er. Harjot Singh Sidhu, Director, Training & Placement; Dr. Shweta; and Dr. Gagandeep Kaur. Senior MRSPTU officials and University Cultural Council members who efficiently coordinated the event included Dr. Iqbal Singh Brar, Librarian and Associate Director, Youth Welfare; Ar. Aman Khiva; Er. Sikander Singh Sidhu; Dr. Sukhjinder Singh, Member, Cultural Council; Dr. Yadwinder Sharma, Assistant Director, CDC; Er. Gagandeep Singh Sodhi; and Shri Tejinder Singh, Rahul Menon, Hasratjot Kaur, and Naresh Kumar. All worked tirelessly across various activities to ensure the success of the festival.
This year’s Youth Fest saw participation from 25 colleges, with thousands of enthusiastic students taking part in a vibrant array of events. The campus came alive with energetic and colourful performances including Gidha, Rangoli, Elocution, On-the-Spot Painting, Photography, and many more artistic, literary and cultural activities. Students showcased exceptional creativity, teamwork and spirit, adding excitement to the festive atmosphere.
