Chandigarh, January 24- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the state government will provide government jobs to 2 lakh youth on merit in the upcoming 5 years. Over the past decade our government has provided government jobs to 1.71 youth. Along with offering government jobs, the government has also implemented various schemes to help youth set up their own businesses.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, Kurukshetra on Friday. Before the ceremony he performed the pooja and gave a floral tribute to the founder of the institution, Late. Om Prakash Garg. He also planted saplings on the college campus and released a Golden Jubilee souvenir. During the event, he announced a grant of Rs. 21 lakh for the college.
Meanwhile, congratulating the professor, students and management of the institution on completing 51 years, he said that IGN College was established in 1974 to provide education to rural children. Over its 50-year journey, the institution has played a crucial role in shaping thousands of students into skilled and responsible citizens. Colleges like IGN play a vital role in achieving the vision of developed Haryana. Educational institutions are the backbone of the state's and country's progress.
The Chief Minister further said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi implemented National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to provide more employment opportunities to the youth. The policy has been adopted by Kurukshetra University and allows students to pursue education from kindergarten to postgraduate levels under one roof. It also aims to provide students with essential skills. To promote higher education, the state government has opened 79 government colleges, 32 of which are exclusively for girls. Now, there is a government college within a 20-kilometer radius across the state. Besides this, 13 new universities have also been established in the state.
The Chief Minister said that 1.71 lakh youth have been provided government jobs on the basis of merit without any Parchi-Kharchi’ and plans to give 2 lakh more jobs in the next five years. To support youth in pursuing education and employment abroad, a Foreign Cooperation Department has been established. Free passports have been issued to 35,000 youth directly in colleges. Haryana's youth have excelled not only in sports but also in various other fields, making the state proud on a global level.
Lt Gen, Sh. SK Saini said that IGN College has completed a historic 50-year journey and is the only college in the Ladwa area offering arts, commerce, and science education. Postgraduate courses have also been introduced. Dhanora Panchayat plays a vital role in the establishment of the college, which donated 36 acres of land for its construction.

Haryana approves State Water Action Plan-II worth 6,713.13 crore under AMRUT 2.0
Chandigarh, January 24 – Haryana Chief Secretary Dr. Vivek Joshi chaired the 4th State High Powered Steering Committee (SHPSC) Meeting for successful implementation of Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 (AMRUT 2.0) here today.
During the meeting, it was informed that under the State Water Action Plan (SWAP-I) of AMRUT 2.0, 57 projects costing Rs 1727.36 crore have been approved, which includes 48 projects of water supply and 9 projects of sewerage spanning over 50 towns of the state. Out of these, in 53 projects, work has already been commenced & the remaining are under tendering process.
The Chief Secretary directed officials of the Public Health Engineering Department to involve local communities and take their consultation before implementing a project. He also stressed on developing a mechanism for taking feedback of the projects already implemented. For this, the concerned Deputy Commissioners and municipal bodies can also be involved.
The meeting was informed that a fund of Rs 1.17 lakh per town was also being utilised for IEC and awareness campaigns in schools and training of youth on water conservation and management in 24 towns of Haryana in the first phase. Also, under the AMRUT Mitra ‘Involving Women SHGs’ campaign, 13 projects for activities like sample collection for water quality testing, leakage detection, insanitary connection identification are being carried out in 13 towns of Haryana for better water management. Also, 41 new projects covering 32 towns of Haryana shall also be allotted to SHGs in due course.
The State High Powered Steering Committee (SHPSC) has approved total 66 projects costing 6,713.13 crore, under SWAP-II of AMRUT 2.0 consisting of 58 water supply and sewerage projects costing Rs 6,715.55 crore and 8 reuse of treated wastewater projects in urban areas costing Rs 15.58 crore.
The steering committee also approved State Action Plan (SAP) for formulation GIS based master plans of Class-II towns with population of 50,000-99,999 under the State Action Plan (SAP) for 11 towns of Haryana. This sub scheme will be in line with AMRUT GIS sub-scheme and will comprise three major components i.e. geo-database creation, formulation of GIS based master plans and capacity building.
Additional Chief Secretary, Finance and Planning, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, Town & Country Planning and Urban Estates, Sh. Apoorva Kumar Singh, Commissioner & Secretary, Public Health Engineering, Mohammed Shayin and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

Cabinet Minister launches ‘Samman Sanjeevani’ App on National Girl Child Day
App Designed to track benefits provided under the ‘Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojana
Chandigarh, January 24 – Haryana Women and Child Development Minister, Smt. Shruti Choudhry, launched the 'Samman Sanjeevani' app of ‘Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojana' on the occasion of National Girl Child Day 2025. Facilities being provided under the scheme will be tracked via the app so that the beneficiaries continue to get the benefits of the scheme timely.
The Minister said that under the 'Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojna', sanitary napkins are distributed to BPL women and girls aged 10 to 45 years. These benefits are delivered through Anganwadi centers and schools. The app has been developed to ensure timely delivery of these services. It will collect data on all beneficiaries and update monthly benefits.
The Minister further said that the Women and Child Development Department is also celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' scheme. Various programmes will be organised under this initiative to promote women’s empowerment and raise awareness about the importance of daughters. Activities will include rallies, cultural events, recognition ceremonies etc. Campaigns focusing on women’s empowerment will involve schoolgirls, successful women, community groups, and other stakeholders. Throughout the celebrations, the message of the scheme will be disseminated nationwide through print, digital, and social media campaigns. The state government has set a goal to improve the gender ratio, and related programmes will be held in this direction.

Chandigarh, January 24 - Under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the state government, fulfilling its commitment to provide a roof over the head of every poor and needy, today allotted plots to 4533 beneficiaries in 20 districts through draw under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2.0.
The Chief Minister's vision is that no poor person in Haryana should remain without a roof. The government is continuously making efforts in this direction. Following the guidance of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the state government is fully committed to its goal of providing houses to the poor and it will be accomplished in a phased manner.
In the first phase of Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2.0, residential plots of 100-100 square yards have been allotted to all eligible applicants of Gram Panchayats of districts Ambala, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Fatehabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Narnaul, Nuh, Palwal, Panipat, Rewari, Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonipat and Yamunanagar. Similarly, residential plots of 100-100 square yards were allotted to all eligible applicants of nomadic caste, widow and scheduled castes of Jind, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Rohtak, Hisar districts. Apart from this, residential plots of 50-50 square yards were allotted to all eligible applicants of Mahagram Panchayat Bahal.
Giving information, a government spokesperson said that a total of 166 eligible beneficiaries in Ambala district, 268 in Bhiwani, 143 in Charkhi Dadri, 313 in Fatehabad, 16 in Gurugram, 480 in Hisar, 26 in Jhajjar, 545 in Jind, 204 in Kaithal, 316 in Karnal, 186 in Kurukshetra, 85 in Narnaul, 65 in Nuh, 17 in Palwal, 314 in Panipat, 134 in Rewari, 176 in Rohtak, 370 in Sirsa, 678 in Sonipat and 31 eligible beneficiaries in Yamunanagar district have been allotted residential plots through draw.

Chief Secretary reviews 25 infrastructure projects of over Rs 100 crore each
Work on 6 government nursing colleges likely to be completed by May 31, 2025
Chandigarh, January 24—Haryana Chief Secretary Dr. Vivek Joshi chaired a review meeting for 25 infrastructure projects, each with a cost exceeding Rs 100 crore. With a total of over Rs 17,516 crore, these projects span over the Departments of Industries and Commerce, Medical Education and Research, Irrigation and Water Resources, and Public Health Engineering.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed officials to establish a panel comprising officers from the irrigation, industry, PWD B&R, and Public Health departments. This panel will review project timelines and propose proactive, long-term solutions to ensure strict adherence to schedules and the timely completion of projects. Issuing strict instructions, the Chief Secretary also directed officials to take action against negligent contractors, including blacklisting them. He directed that all necessary clearances, including environmental and forest approvals, should be obtained prior to issuing tenders for projects, ensuring their completion within the stipulated timelines.
The meeting was informed that the Rs 100-crore project to provide canal-based drinking water supply to 35 villages of Badhra Assembly Constituency has been completed in Charkhi Dadri district. Similarly, the improvement of water supply in 52 villages and 5 Dhanies in Nagina and Pingwan blocks of Nuh district is also nearing completion.
Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Research, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal said the construction work of 6 government nursing colleges in the state at a cost of Rs 194.30 crore is likely to be completed as per schedule by May 31, 2025. He said the construction of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University of Health Sciences in Kutail, Karnal, has also been completed while the procurement of medical equipment and recruitment of faculty and other staff is in progress. The university is being constructed at a cost of Rs 761.51 crore and is likely to start functioning soon. Similarly, the construction work of Rs 535.55 crore Government Medical College project in Bhiwani has also been completed while the procurement of biomedical equipment has been started and the project is likely to be completed by March this year. The recruitment of faculty and other staff is in progress.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed the development of infrastructure at IMT Sohna, development of infrastructure in Global City Projects, construction of Integrated Multi Modal Logistic Hub Project, construction of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Government Medical College, Panjupur, Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College, Phase III and establishment of Sant Sarsai Nathji Government Medial College in Sirsa.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation & Water Resources, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Sh. D Suresh, and other senior officers were present in the meeting.

DGP Reviews Cashless Treatment Facility for Road Accident Victims in Haryana
Chandigarh, January 24. Haryana Director General of Police (DGP), Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur today held a meeting with the concerned police officers through video conferencing to review the pilot project launched by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for cashless free treatment of persons injured in road accidents in Haryana and gave them necessary directions. Along with this, Sh. Kapur also directed the officers to ensure compliance with Section 167(8) of the Central Motor Vehicles (11th Amendment) Rules, 2020. The meeting also discussed the compensation to be given to the victims in hit-and-run cases.
This meeting was held at the Police Headquarters in Panchkula in which Additional Director General of Police, Traffic and Highways, Sh. Hardeep Doon was present while other senior traffic officers of the state participated through video conferencing.
Sh. Kapur said that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has started a scheme for cashless free treatment of persons injured in road accidents. Sh. Kapur reviewed the work done under this scheme in the state and said that this scheme is being run by the Government of India on a pilot basis under which treatment up to Rs. 1.5 lakh per person for a maximum period of 7 days from the date of the road accident is provided free of cost. For this, 1228 government and private hospitals have been empanelled in Haryana. This scheme of the Government of India has been linked with the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Sh. Kapur said that all concerned police officers should be aware of when, what and how they have to help the injured person.
He clearly stated that the first hour is very important for the treatment of a person injured in a road accident. If the person is treated properly during this period, the risk to his life is reduced. Sh. Kapur told the police officers to establish better coordination with the hospital management and ambulance and as soon as information about the injured person is received at the police station, verify the information within the first 6 hours so that the injured person can avail the benefit.
He clearly stated that the police officer should brief the police personnel, rider etc. deployed on his subordinate Emergency Response Vehicle i.e. ERV for the treatment of the injured person so that there is no doubt in their mind. He clearly stated that in case of a road accident, the hospital sends information to the concerned police station through a software called e-DAR, after which the concerned police station confirms whether the person is injured in a road accident or not. He said that it is a matter of pride for us that compared to the previous year, about 300 fewer people died in road accidents in 2024. He said that our goal for the year 2025 is to reduce the number of deaths from road accidents by at least 25% compared to the previous year.
Along with this, Sh. Kapur also gave directions regarding compliance with Section 167(8) of the Central Motor Vehicles (11th Amendment) Rules, 2020 in the meeting. He said that Haryana Police has a large number of pending traffic challans and a campaign will soon be launched by Haryana Police to reduce the pendency. Those vehicles whose traffic challans are pending should ensure that they pay them on time, otherwise action will be taken against such vehicles as per the rules. Such vehicle drivers will be stopped and asked to pay the traffic challans online. Appealing to the general public, he said that they should ensure that they pay the traffic challans as soon as possible so that they do not face any inconvenience during their journey.
In addition, in the meeting, Sh. Kapur also reviewed the cases related to hit and run road accidents. He said that many times unknown vehicle drivers hit other vehicles and flee from the spot. In such a situation, there is a provision for giving compensation to the victim. He informed that if a person dies in a hit and run case, he is given a compensation of Rs. 200000. Similarly, an injured person is given a compensation of Rs. 50000. Directing the police officers, he said that they should ensure that a copy of the FIR of such cases is immediately sent to the Deputy Commissioner and DTO of the concerned district in case of an accident.

Two-minute silence to be observed in all government offices in memory of martyrs on January 30
Chandigarh, January 24- A two-minute silence will be observed in all Haryana government offices at 11 am on January 30 in memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle of the country.
In a letter issued by the Chief Secretary's Office, all the Department Heads, Divisional Commissioners of Ambala, Hisar, Rohtak, Faridabad, Karnal and Gurugram, all Deputy Commissioners and Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil) have been instructed to make necessary arrangements in this regard.
