World Himachal Organization to Provide Free Medical Camp: Asha Jaswal

Chandigarh, 24 January 2025: On the occasion of Himachal Pradesh's 54th Full Statehood Day, the Chairman of World Himachal Organization, Asha Jaswal, congratulated the citizens and announced that her organization will be hosting a free medical camp on Saturday at the Shri Radha Krishna Temple in Sector 40-A. The camp will be inaugurated by Prof. A.K. Atri, Principal Director of Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32.
Providing details about the camp, Asha Jaswal mentioned that along with the Chief Guest, there will be special guests including B.K. Arora, President of Hindu Parv Mahasabha, and Arun Sood, former Mayor and former State President of BJP. Renowned doctor from Cheema Hospital, Mohali, Dr. Shiv will conduct free check-ups for the people attending the camp. The medical camp will offer consultations in Neurology, Urology, Orthopedics, Eye examinations, ECG, RBS, and BMD.
Highlighting the significance of Himachal Pradesh's Full Statehood Day, Jaswal shared that on January 25, 1971, then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, declared Himachal Pradesh as a full state. Therefore, this day holds special importance for all the people of Himachal Pradesh. World Himachal Organization has decided to celebrate this day by serving the public, and as part of this initiative, all people attending the camp will receive free tests that are usually expensive in the market.

Tandon Discusses Several Women-Related Issues with NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 24 January 2025: On the occasion of the visit of Vijaya Rahatkar, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women and National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, to Chandigarh, Sanjay Tandon, National Executive Member of BJP and Co-Incharge of Himachal Pradesh BJP, welcomed her at the UT Guest House and held a meeting with her. Tandon discussed several women-related issues in Chandigarh with Rahatkar and emphasized the need for public awareness campaigns in Chandigarh to promote the special provisions and government schemes for women.

Tandon said that Vijaya Rahatkar has done commendable work for the upliftment and rights of women through the Commission. She has brought welfare schemes for women to the ground level and made them aware of their rights. He further added that whenever any issue related to women is brought to her, she approaches it with seriousness and works towards resolving it, always striving to unite everyone. Her unwavering dedication to women’s empowerment and societal development is truly inspiring.

On the other hand, National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar listened attentively to Tandon’s concerns and assured him that she would personally consider his points and take every possible step to address them. She also praised Tandon, stating that his dedication to his organization and concern for local people and women is the result of his far-sighted approach. She mentioned that Tandon frequently discusses matters related to women in the city and does whatever is possible to support them.
