Mahendergarh, 07.04.25-The National Service Scheme (NSS), Haryana, successfully organized 'Cyclothon 2.0', a grand state-wide initiative promoting health, environmental consciousness, and the spirit of volunteerism. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from volunteers across the state, with notable involvement from the NSS unit of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh.

Shri Nayab Singh Saini, Chief Minister of Haryana addressed the youth and tell them the importance of a drug free stare and adopting a healthy lifestyle. Held under the overarching theme of "Pedal for a Cause", the Cyclothon aimed to spread awareness about Nasha Mukti. The event kicked off with great fervor and was flagged off by dignitaries from the NSS Haryana Directorate, drawing support from educational institutions, local authorities, and civil society.

Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of CUH, congratulated the NSS volunteers for their active involvement and appreciated NSS Haryana’s efforts to engage youth in such meaningful initiatives. He emphasized that events like Cyclothon 2.0 not only build physical endurance but also install a sense of unity, purpose, and responsibility among students.
Dr. Neelam NSS, Program officer coordinated this 'Cyclothon 2.0' and she emphasized for the eradication of drug addiction from the society. She said that in the present scenario today’s youth has become the victim of drug addiction which is hollowing out the roots of healthy society.
The volunteers from Central University of Haryana showcased remarkable zeal and discipline as they pedaled through designated routes carrying placards and chanting slogans promoting eco-friendly lifestyles, fitness awareness, and civic responsibility. During this event Registrar Prof. Suneel Kumar, Dean Student Welfare Prof Anand Sharma, NSS program coordinator Dr. Pardeep, Program officers Dr. Neelam , Dr. Mukesh and Dr. Yudhvir were present in the event and motivated the volunteers for active participation.
