MAHENDERGARH, 08.11.24The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh is pleased to announce the approval of Rs. 273.47 crores in funding from the Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA), Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi. This grant is aimed at significantly advancing the University’s academic, research, and infrastructural facilities, benefiting not only the state of Haryana but also surrounding regions.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University said that Rs. 91.08 crores have been allocated to establish state-of-the-art central instrumentation facilities i.e. construction of Central Instrumentation Centre and procurement of instrument for this centre. This development will support advanced scientific research, enabling the University to lead in cutting-edge technological advancements in this grant.
Under this grant Rs. 136.02 crores will be directed toward constructing a new building for School of Engineering and Technology which will play a pivotal role in strengthening engineering education in the region and two new girls' hostels will provide much-needed accommodations to the growing student population. He said that additional Rs. 6.64 crores are allocated for the construction of 16 nos. of Lecture Halls, and Rs. 23.17 crores will fund a fully-equipped Computer Centre to support both academic and research activities in computing to enhanced Academic Facilities.

Prof. Suneel Kumar, Registrar said that for the development sports facilities in the campus a Multi-Purpose Hall worth Rs. 16.56 crores will be constructed to boost sports and recreational activities, promoting holistic development for CUH students. Prof. Suneel Kumar said that these projects will not only provide CUH students and faculty with an enhanced educational environment but also support the broader community in Haryana and neighboring states by making high-quality education and research facilities accessible.
