One arrested under NDPS Act
A Case FIR No. 21 u/s NDPS Act has been registered at PS Maloya against Salman, R/o EWS, Maloya, aged 19, who was apprehended at Peddy Mandi Chowk on 14-02-2025 at about 10:00 PM, and 5.25 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
Cheating
A Case FIR No. 16 u/s 318(4), 61(2) BNS has been registered at PS Sarangpur on the complaint of Dilbagh Singh, R/o Vill. Khuda Jassu, Chandigarh. The complainant alleged fraud of ₹9,55,000/- by Balbir Singh and two others who later fled a white Brezza car. Dilbagh Singh stated that he was convinced by the accused persons that his money would be doubled through some technique. He placed his money in small iron box but was defrauded after the accused fled with his money. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 26 u/s 406, 420 IPC has been registered at PS 17 on the complaint of lady resident of Custom Colony, Sec-37, Chandigarh, and others. They alleged being cheated of ₹13,72,960/- by Sanjeev Joshi, and others of Sky High Abroad Consultant Pvt. Ltd., Sec-17A, Chandigarh.
A Case FIR No. 13 u/s 318(2) BNS has been registered at PS 19 on the complaint of Jagdish Raj, R/o Sec-21, Chandigarh. He alleged being cheated of ₹45,000/- by Hardeep Singh, R/o GBS Society, Sec-48A, Chandigarh, for providing a job in MC Chandigarh.
A Case FIR No. 26 u/s 318(4) BNS has been registered at PS 39 on the complaint of Raj Kumar Paruti, R/o Sec-38D, Chandigarh. He alleged being cheated of ₹4,68,000/- by Sumit Singh, R/o Phase-10, Mohali, Punjab. The accused falsely represented themselves as interior designers under the firm ‘SK Interiors’ and took advanced payment from the complainant.
Accident
A Case FIR No. 16 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at PS 11 on the complaint of Sachin Kumar, R/o Hisar, Haryana. The complainant reported being injured when an unknown driver of a white car sped away after hitting his motorcycle (HR-80-2125) at Janta Garage, Khud Alisher, on the night of 07/08-02-2025.
PP Act
A Case FIR No. 15 u/s 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act & 355 BNS has been registered at PS IT Park agaisnt, Ashok Kumar, S/o Makhan, R/o #1076, Sec-27B, Chandigarh, aged 39, was apprehended on 14-02-2025 at about 10:30 PM for drinking at a public place and creating a nuisance in Kishangarh.
Snatching
A Case FIR No. 14 u/s 304(2) IPC has been registered at Police Station 03 on the complaint of Monu, resident of Tribune Colony Road, near Cremation Ground, Vill. Kansal, Mohali, Punjab. The complainant reported that on 13-02-2025 at about 11:42 PM, two unknown motorcycle riders snatched away a Vivo mobile phone and cash of ₹500/- from him near Royal Farm, Nayagaon to Kansal Road.
