Ahead of Swachh Survekshan, Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, Commissioner, MC, Chandigarh appealed the citizens of city beautiful to join hands with MCC in citizen feedback, which is a major component during direct observation of Survekshan, which is likely to begin in next few days under the Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0.

Keeping in view the direct observation of Swachh Survekshan in next few days, The MC Commissioner Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS formed various teams of Sanitation department to check violatons of the Municipal Solid Waste rules in the city.

*While sharing about the water conservation plan, the MC Commissioner Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS said that the Municipal Corporation will take action against those found watering of lawns during water supply hours, Washing of Vehicles and Court yards etc., Overflow from Over Head/Under Ground Water Tanks, Leakage from Water Meter Chamber, Wastage of Water due to non installation of bib taps, Leakage in pipe line from ferrule to Water Meter, Leakage from desert cooler, Installation and use of booster pump direct on water supply line and Wastage of misuse of water through any other reason.
