CHANDIGARH,25.09.24-The workshop was conducted by Ms. Kavya Atray, an Arts based Therapy Practitioner who is an enthusiastic explorer and vehement believer of the importance of physical, emotional and mental well-being. As a part of her philanthropic project, she encouraged the students of SD College to develop a sense of emotional awareness to enable a targeted and creative outlet for distinctly addressing and better dealing with their disturbed internal selves.

Her approach was oriented towards introspection and a pleasant redressal of emotions which was stimulated by tapping into various playful activities that harnessed the transformative power of art to ignite self-expression and catalyse profound healing.

The process of self-recovery was fostered through the workshop that set out to guide participants away from the destructive path of drug abuse, offering art as a powerful and empowering alternative for coping and personal growth.

Principal, Dr. Ajay Sharma advocated this constructive approach to emotional resilience and supported the initiative as it offers enriching ways of self-expression, downplaying the propensity of the youth to drag towards drugs during stressful life situations.

Ms. Ritika Sinha, the Convener of VADA Club expressed her gratitude towards the speaker for offering a unique opportunity and a rather interesting take on stress management for the youth.

The event was coordinated by VADA Club members; Mr. Varinder Kumar, Dr. Rinku Kalia, Dr. Nidhi Chadha, Dr. Divya Jyoti Randev, Dr. Shruti Sharma, Ms. Sakshi and girls hostel staff; warden Ms. Usha Sawal, Ms. Gargi and Ms. Shivangi.
